We arrived today and are staying in the Turtle Dunes Villas. No ice machine in the whole building, no corkscrew, no wine glasses, no robes or slippers. One tiny bar of soap, one bottle of shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion for 2 people for 3 days. Had to schlep our own luggage to our room. Housekeeping service is every 3...

Want to hear the surf as you sleep? Wake up and have coffee on the balcony to greet the sunrise? Play all the tennis you want on great clay courts? The getting a villa here is key. Stayed in Villa 1117---fabulous amenities, spotless, great kitchen supplies and a balcony that faces the ocean, and bikes that we did not have...

I stayed at the villas. They were not. Basically a low to middling motel room without any service. no maid service, no coffee service, TV in disrepair and the worst beds/mattresses I have ever had at any hotel /villa anywhere. The overall resort facilities were good and the staff was excellent. I would not stay at the villas but the...

Loved the Villa. Roomy, Comfortable and well equipped. Wish we had longer to stay. the property has large Oaks and stays shaded. We played the Ocean Golf course and had a great time. The hotel rooms are too small for us.

the only things that we had as an issue was the kitchen lights not properly working And the remote control for the television had not batteries...but it wasn't our focus because we were on a couples enrichment weekend!

I'm a regular visitor to Amelia Island for two weeks in August and love it. I had no idea the weather was this great in February! Golf, poolside, eating al fresco - it was a revelation! Will definitely be making plans to visit more often throughout the year!

My dog and I enjoyed 5 days at the Villas. The best thing, other than the miles and miles of dog friendly beach and the lovely balcony overlooking the ocean with relaxing sound of the waves, is you can use all of the Omni hotel amenities. We enjoyed our time at the Omni adults-only pool. I would have liked a...

Always a top-notch experience from check-in through departure...which we always wish was a longer time period! We love the hotel and the easy access to the amenities but this time in a Villa, Turtle Dune, was lovely. We used the free transportation and got anywhere we wanted to go on this beautiful property. Caroline at the main bar is always...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Villas of Amelia Island Plantation sprawl across 1,350 beautiful and isolated acres, along Florida's north eastern coastline, just across the St. Marys River in Georgia and adjacent to the historic city of Fernandina. The Villas overlook the blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean on the east and the Intracoastal Waterway on the west. Though private, secluded and protected by a gated entry, the location is a convenient 45 minute drive away from downtown Jacksonville and 29 miles from Jacksonville International Airport. Private and corporate aircraft charters can fly directly to Fernandina Beach Municipal Airport, which is only four miles north of the plantation. Each villa is unique and different. Units come in varying sizes and locations, including ocean view, resort view and tennis view single guest rooms, as well as one-, two- and three-bedroom units, ideal for larger parties, and feature fully equipped kitchens, dining areas, spacious living rooms, multiple baths and private bedrooms. Most complexes have at least one pool. Be sure to confirm the villa type, location and amenities available when booking. The villa accommodations are independently owned, but are located within proximity to the Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort. ... more   less
