We stayed here for 2 nights in late June, it's a wonderful setting, rooms were just right, views are stunning, we didn't spend much time outside as the wind was ferocious, service is good. They serve dinner which is very helpful as there are very few restaurants in the area. I would suggest that more seasoning is used, we found...

This is a spacious, super clean, quiet (except for the surf) place. The staff is friendly and most welcoming. The food both breakfast and dinner is excellent. The beach is great and walkable, the scenery outstanding. But the best part is the staff.

We spent a wonderful 3 nights here as we explored Gros Morne National Park. It is located about 20 minutes north of Cow Head, so a little bit of a drive from the actual park. Our room was #5, very clean, with an ensuite, and view of the beach. We could hear the waves rolling all night long. There is...

This is a magical place to stop in Newfoundland. The rooms are quaint, clean and well appointed. Our view of the ocean and beach was magnificent and the food was amazing! A home cooked meal on any trip is a welcome opportunity and when it's awesome, well...you get it. Disconnect (although the there is cell data connectivity) and enjoy!

In our homogenized world, Entente Cordiale Inn has an authenticity and sense of place that is hard to find. Its simple traditional elegance seems perfect on a section of deserted beach on the outskirts of Portland Creek. We enjoyed a home cooked seafood dinner (reserved at the time of our room reservation) perfectly prepared in the dining room facing the...

This summer we travelled to Newfoundland from Ontario by motorcycle with two other couples...crossing to Channel-Port aux Basques we found ourselves in peak tourist season and calling many miles ahead to try and find a landing spot to spend some time and tour the coast. As luck would have it, Annie assured us, the Entente Cordiale Inn had room for...

If you are planning to visit Gros Morne NP and travel north, I would strongly recommend you to stay at least one night at Entente Cordiale Inn. It’s located at the end of the road next to a long stretch of a sandy beach. All rooms are different, very clean, nicely decorated and have their own charm. We stayed in...

Our room at Entente Cordiale Inn (#4) was very clean and lovely decorated (although not very modern style the whole Inn seemed to be shortly renovated). We were served delicious supper and a great breakfast. The two hosting ladies were just wonderful and the remote setting directly at the sandy beach beautiful! We would definitely stay there again - 110%...

What a pleasant surprise! This lovely B&B is located at water's edge and has a delightful beach for strolling, etc. The room was clean and welcoming, with a great ocean view from the second floor. All of the staff were friendly and charming. The best surprise was the food. Breakfast is excellent, but the highlight was a superb lobster dinner....

I think we've stayed here 3 times now, so I think a review is in order! Absolutely charming place, and couldn't be more beautifully located, sitting right on a gorgeous beach! Rooms are lovely, the place is spotless, and you're made to feel very welcome. The lady that cooks there sure knows her way around the kitchen! Be sure and...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Located on 7 acres of secluded beachfront property just 25 kilometers (15 miles) north of Gros Morne National Park, Entente Cordiale is a 4-star heritage-style B&B with modern utilities and traditional decor. We are renowned for clean rooms and low prices, in a scenic and relaxing maritime setting. Watch the sun set into the Gulf of St. Lawrence while savouring a fresh seafood dinner in our licensed dining room, roast wieners and marshmallows over a fire on the shore, and enjoy a morning stroll on a sandy beach before a hearty breakfast of homemade breads, jams and more. View the northern limit of the Appalachian mountains and the nearby Arches natural scenic attraction, or fish for Atlantic salmon on a river named by the famed explorer Captain James Cook. Or use our central location as a base for your exploration of Newfoundland's Great Northern Peninsula, from Gros Morne National Park to the UNESCO World Heritage Site at L'Anse aux Meadows, the Vinland of Viking lore. ... more   less
