Detailed Reviews
Peggy is the best host ever! We arrived after a 50+ mile cycle in the rain and were welcomed into her home. Our room was super cozy and Peggy was so accommodating with all our wet clothes. We were able to get warm and dry before the most amazing meal home cooked by Peggy. Definitely order the seafood salad! The view over the bay is just the best. Would have loved to take the walk over to Vallay before breakfast had the weather been in our favour. Thanks Peggy for your wonderful hospitality.

What a lovely stay at this warm and comfy B and B. Peggy’s food is superb- all homemade and plentiful and she made us all so welcome.
Sollas View is ideally situated for the ferry from/to Berneray and has beautiful views from the house. There are lovely walks nearby and lots of areas to explore.

We couldn't have been made more welcome by Peggy when our group of 6 arrived, all rather soggy, for one night's stay whilst cycling the Hebridean Way. All the bedrooms and lounge/dining room were clean warm and comfortable. Whilst the the evening meal was sumptuous and the breakfast excellent, just what we needed to set us on our way again. Struan house sits right on the shoreline with beautiful views out to sea. An excellent B&B!

Absolutely unforgettable and amazing stays firstly on South then North Uist. Struan House faces wonderful bay, stunning sands. we weren’t blessed with great weather but it didn’t spoil our enjoyment of this beautiful island. Great breakfasts and evening meals cooked by Peggy who looks after her guests very well. Room very comfortable, thank you!

My husband and I stayed here for a short break early July 2021. Peggy the host is so welcoming and her breakfasts are amazing. We were definitely full afterwards and often didn't eat again until our evening meal. Both the breakfast room and our guest room had amazing views over the sands to Vallay island. The sunsets were absolutely amazing!
Our room was lovely and comfortable with a small fridge which came in very handy. This really is a gem of a B&B and very reasonably priced too. We'll definitely stay here again if we're fortunate to return to this beautiful island and would like to thank Peggy for being such a friendly host. Alex & Nev

I can't recommend this B&B highly enough. The location is fantastic and the hosts very friendly. We also had an amazing evening meal, which was delicious and very generous portions. An ideal stopping point as part of cycling the Hebridean Way.

It was very nice at Peggy McFee :) Peggy has just such a big heart, is very helpful and very friendly. The B&B is on the seafront, the view is great. The breakfast we liked very much, there was also enough food for us:) Rooms were fine, everything was clean.

Another really warm Hebridean welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. Beds comfortable, shower room quite small. The view from the dinner table was fabulous. And so much homemade food for dinner and breakfast! Two vegans in our group were particularly welcome - and full!!
