Came for a weekend break with my husband and little boy, due to very reasonable price - £99 for 3 nights. All we wanted from our break was a clean caravan to use a base, as we would only be using it for sleeping in and for breakfast. Unfortunately the caravan we were given was musty and old. The curtains...

Glad I took no notice of the bad reviews. me and my 9 year old daughter had a great time on our mini get away, even though it was raining! The campsite was clean and well kept, grass short, bushes trimmed etc. The showers were lovely and hot. The maintenance staff were kind and friendly as they pottered about tending...

I am sad to see the negative reviews this camp site is getting and glad that the most recent reviewers have some kind of perspective. I have been staying here a few times a year now for many years under the old owners and the new owners alike. Yes the site is run differently now than it was by the...

After reading several unfavourable reviews on this caravan site we again returned with some trepidation for our annual spring mini break to this site. On arrival we had a very warm welcome, all staff most friendly. The site was much cleaner than the previous year, caravan spotless and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay yet again. The weather being very hot...

I was concerned about staying at this site having seen some of the reviews, but must agree much with previous 'static' reviewer. I have just returned from a more than pleasant 4-night stay at this site in a very clean, well-maintained, well-appointed unit that allowed each of us 4 geysers to sleep in separate rooms - and found the few...

I am sad to see the poor reviews Tarka is getting and felt I should add my own experience. Last year our family purchased a 'gold' standard static caravan on this site as there were several for sale, this seems to be the way the new owner is managing some of the site as there are still some for sale...

We stayed here from the 16th - 23rd April, in what was the coldest, dampest April I can ever remember. This obviously put a downer on our fairly hastily booked break, but we booked here because a) My Fiance had previously stayed here, & b) because it was reasonably priced & available on the dates that we could get away...

We stayed at the tarka for a long weekend, this weekend and ended up leaving early due to our tent pitch becoming a marshy bog. Ok so the weather has been extremely wet but we thought we'd be ok staying on a site that advertises having amenities and being on the tarka trail. The amenities are worthless- no shop, the...

We are very sorry to hear that you were unhappy with your booking here at Tarka Holiday Park. As you rightly point out the weather over the past weeks has been atrocious and the ground has been wet for quite some time. In these conditions, in order to safeguard our campers from coping with muddy tyre tracks around their pitches...

We booked a Gold Van!!!! Gold it was not!!! Old,shabby, never mind a second toilet as there was no toilet roll.I expected central heating? NO an old gas fire.Very dated. Not as advertised. The position was possibly the worse of all. On a very busy duel carriageway. Very dangerous. An overgrown grass verge on one side our only escape route. We...

It is with regret that we note your negative comments. You were indeed booked to a Gold category caravan that is serviced by hot air heaters in each room located as vents in the base of cupboard units. If you were under the impression that you had been allocated a caravan without full heating an enquiry when you visited the...
