Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Previously I spent several days in hotel Pesson near here. This is another type of hotel. Sapta Nawa is a quiet hotel in style wood and stone. There are gardens, terraces, overall pleasant seating. Thanks to the gardens there is bigger amount of mosquiteos. Room was sufficient with air-condition. Wi-Fi very weak and on TV almost exclusively local broadcasting. The weakest part of room was bathroom. There is a half-board breakfast opposite the hotel Pessona. The staff was nice but with a weaker knowledge of English. So whoever is looking for a cheaper and quieter hotel than Pessona in Gresik is in the right place.

A very Indonesian style hotel. Room basic but clean, shower OK with good supply of hot water. Staff very helpful but majority have poor English. Restaurant good, but do not expect a beer or a glass of wine with your meal, the area is dry. Room service also very good.

I booked myself a deluxe king room in this hotel last July 2016 for a friend wedding in Gresik. Breakfast was good, majority Indonesian meals, but you can find bread, margarine and jam. Room service was good and promptly responsive. However, i found quite a few cockroaches on the floor... So i spent the first night hunting and the rest of stay was not so comfortable as i was constantly on high alert on cockroaches. I was booked on corner room and i barely could use my mobile phone.

No other real options, only hotel in the area. Rooms were clean and the air conditioning worked. Some of the rooms can have a problem with ants. Food in the restaurant was good though fairly basic. There is wifi, but the signal was fairly weak so didn't work in the room, but worked fine when in the restaurant and sitting outside, just make sure you have insect repellant.

Staying in this hotel for 2 night in the last month of 2014, I got an impression that this hotel is mainly for business. Not that it provides business booth or stationery, but the guests I saw during the meal time in the morning, they looked like private companies employees. Mostly were men in a company uniform. So, you may not expect a swimming pool nor a coffee shop. The rooms are clean and tidy and I found myself had good sleep. The pillows are thin in my opinion, but the bedsheets are clean. I was quite satisfied with the room. Breakfast provided from 6 am. You may not find great varieties of dishes. Besides rice and its dishes, I found bread, butter, jam and the toaster when I felt like having bread for breakfast instead of rice. No other choices. They also served orange juice, not pure oranges for sure, and water and hot tea and coffee. You can try what's written in the menu book put on the table in the hotel bedroom. The pisang goreng were good.

Everything is basic but the most important is it was clean and the air conditioning work well. I think it is the best hotel in town. If you want to find for a better hotel, just stay in surabaya. It is located in a quiet neighbourhood but not very far from the main road. I think its good.
