We arrived two days early for our reservation and therefore spent the night in two different rooms before our stay in the room we originally booked. We were happy they were able to accommodate our early arrival! Interestingly, our perceptions changed with each move! We spent the first night in the Mimosa cottage. It was an uncomfortable chilly night! The...

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your experience at the Captiva Inn, unfortunately the first night of your stay with us was record breaking cold temperatures. We provide space heaters for those occasional nights, but understand they have a limited capability. The Inn has several room types, we are glad that you enjoyed the Celebration...

We spent 4 nights here in December before moving into our condo on Sanibel. We rented the Hibiscus Cottage and really enjoyed our stay here. Great little old-style Florida cottage. We enjoyed the free breakfasts included and usually went to our favourite, KeyLime Bistro, to cash them in. We will be back again!

From the moment I opened the door I was pleasantly surprised. It was nicely furnished and decorated. The bed and bath were comfortable & clean. We shared the living room and modern kitchen with a nice couple from Minnesota. We enjoyed breakfast at RC Otter. I regret not trying Key Lime Bistro. It's conveniently located near the beach, restaurants, marina,...

Pleasantly surprised with the the inn. Location was close to beach, restaurants and shopping. Staff very helpful and accommodating. The room was comfortable, but could use a little updating, The breakfast at Key Lime Bistro and RC Otters was delicious!! I would definitely return to the Captiva Island Inn.

Mold growing on the A/C vents and on the patio. Couldn't go in the patio without walking through it. Room was cheaply furnished and old; not rustic, just old. Bathroom mirror edges were corroded. Ceiling had water bubbles under the paint from leaks. Overall this place needs some serious cleaning and updating. Definitely not worth the price.

We always try to meet the expectations of our guest and take pride in the Historical value of the Inn. I have contacted the guest to discuss their concerns; the person I spoke with who placed the reservation has apologized for this review and agreed it was a mere aberration of the majority of guest who stay with us. 1 block from the beach and breakfast is included at your choice of 2 restaurants next door. Our room was very spacious, and the house was nicely decorated. I plan on returning. We liked it so much, we stayed an additional night.

Stayed here during the summer with my family and loved it! The hotel is a block or 2 from the beach. The rooms provide basic accommodations with a small kitchen. They provide beach chairs. There are 2 restaurants across from the hotel that serve excellent food, specially breakfast. RC Otters and Key Lime bistro. This is the perfect hotel to...

If I am honest, I booked Captiva Island Inn because it was one of the cheaper options on the expensive Captiva Island. From reviews on here and the price compared to other rooms, I therefore wasn't expecting much. I couldn't have been more wrong. From our arrival a day early (due to a change in our travel arrangements) to the...

Stayed here for the Captiva Triathlon. It's about 1.5 miles from South Seas Resort. Rooms came with 2 breakfast meals to one of the two restaurants nearby. We stayed in the Hibiscus cottage. 1 bedroom with a living room and small kitchen. Things are a little outdated in the cottage but we enjoyed the stay. Walking distance to the beach.
