The location can't be beat. I loved that it was walking distance to Hollywood Studios, Epcot, Disney Boardwalk, and Fantasia Golf. If you didn't feel like walking you could take the boat to all the places except Fantasia Golf. There were plenty of restaurants between the Swan, Dolphin, and Boardwalk. The staff was friendly and helpful. The beds were very comfortable and the room was very clean. We also enjoyed the pool area. Plenty of chairs and shady spots. Just remember that you pay for parking and a resort fee when you price out the hotel.

The rooms were great, the technology was there, yet it was hard to get a sense of activities offered at the resort on a daily basis. We also never had a good sense of the amenities available at both the Swan & Dolphin. The housekeeping was really sub par, one day they simply did not clean the room or make the beds.

The bathrooms were nice, the beds were comfortable, & the location was fantastic. The hotel charges fees for any delivery- $10 and up for amazon packages/groceries. The hotel will also turn away deliveries without telling you.

The coffee shop in the Swan is fantastic, great food and service. Pool is a lot of fun, so is the playground.

This hotel was good, but could be great with some more attention to customer service and communication.

Just returned from Walt Disney world and stayed at the Swan hotel. The hotel had a very good layout for its size with the elevators right at the main lobby. Rooms were easy to find, simply follow east, West, Central elevators. The grounds are very well done and the Boardwalk is a 2 minute walk, Hollywood studios and the Epcot are very close by, 10-20 minutes by foot. Hollywood Studios cost around $190 for entry per person.
The restaurants in the hotel are pricey, lunch by the pool with 3 drinks was around $50 Cdn, meals on the boardwalk were around $30 with huge portions. I had the ribs at the The Grand River and they came with a full rack, mashed potatoes and fresh vegetables.Drinks are expensive at the hotel too, around $8-15.

Overall an enjoyable experience and the weather was great, one day was vey hot and very humid.

This was my 3rd stay at the Walt Disney World Swan in the past 10 years. While the on-Disney location is still great, and the ability to use major hotel brand points to book a room for your Disney getaway is fantastic, the service we experienced this trip was well below even sub-par. From dirty cleaning rags left on the floor of our room and the engineer's tools left in the room to my son's belongings moved from the bed to the bathtub (what the heck?!) and multiple requests for extra blankets that were never delivered, we experienced the worst of their service. A huge strip (6 inches wide by almost 2 feet long) of the bathtub coating peeled off the third day we were there. The 2nd day of our six day stay we departed before 7AM, returned after 5PM, and housekeeping still hadn't made it to our room, at which point I called for maid service and she was just leaving our room when we returned from dinner at 9PM.

Multiple calls to guest services and trips to the front desk produced apologies, but no change in the quality of service, no action on anyone's part. This hotel is billed as a resort and charges a resort fee for their amenities, but is NOT delivering a resort-like experience. We won't be staying here again.

I recently had the opportunity to stay at the Swan during their first weekend post COVID shutdown and I left very impressed. There are signs in every public area reminding guests to wear a mask, the room was thoroughly clean and I never felt uncomfortable. Check-in was a breeze, although I was a little disappointed that they don’t offer mobile keys through the bonvoy app, which of course means having to stand in line and stop at the desk. The Dolphin side was completely closed so you’re limited to what dining options the Swan has. You can walk to Disney boardwalk but there’s not many options available at this time. There were two pools open, chairs were spaced out and the pools were never crowded. We ate at Il Mulino one night and they have all of the tables spread out. Staff was friendly, everyone we walked past said “Hello”, which isn’t common every where you go. We stayed in a king bed room with a resort view. As I stated before the room was clean and the gentleman at check in informed me that room cleaning is done every 3 days, which is why I was confused when someone from housekeeping would knock everyday at random times. The best part was our view, we could see World showcase, the Disney skyliner & Hollywood Studios all from our room. I can only imagine what watching fireworks would have been like. In terms of park transportation, the friendship boats were not operating, only the buses and of course you can walk to Epcot & Hollywood studios. All in all, everything went smoothly and I definitely recommend staying here.

Oh, how I like the Walt Disney World Swan! My husband and I took our nine year old granddaughter on a three day, two night Disney trip and stayed at the Swan. I really like its location best, such an easy trip to get to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, as well as stroll along the Boardwalk, visit the Yacht & Beach Clubs, take a boat ride just because... Our first evening we had a lovely dinner at the Italian restaurant on property, while our nine year old attended Camp Dolphin. She had a great time (S'mores, movies, games) and two hours are comped when you show your receipt from dinner ($24 value). My husband is a Bonvoy member so our booked "no view" room was upgraded to a balcony, plus we received a surprise of fresh baked cookies and milk delivered to our room. Our room was great (two queen beds), but in retrospect, I prefer a higher floor looking out, than where we were (315 East - interior courtyard view). There is a coffee maker (one-cup, Starbucks Breakfast Blend) and a small refrigerator where we kept half & half, water and juice. The new coffee shop, Java Bar is great, but if you want coffee while still in your PJs, use the room's coffee maker. If you need to buy theme park tickets, it is a short walk to the Dolphin, where Guest Services will help you; you can purchase a Magic Band here, too ($15) and they will link your ticket to the Magic Band. This will save you time when entering any of the parks.

Spent 2 nights here in early March 2020. The rates were very high when we first looked, but after they dropped to around $200, we reserved.
The room was really nice and about what you'd expect...not spectacular, but better than average. But it's Disney, so who's going to stay in the room anyway, right!
The hotel has a few restaurants, but they are pricey. There is a kid friendly pool, playground, putt putt, hammocks, bean bag toss, etc for kids to enjoy outside.
The Dolphin hotel is a 4 minute walk and has more restaurants to choose from (but pricey also). I ordered the Cabo sandwich and a bag of chips (cost $13) from Fuel.
There was also a live band on Saturday night playing great music. There were Disney characters coming thru the restaurants during breakfast. Perfect for kids!

There are shuttle buses that take you to each park.
We took the shuttle bus to Animal Kingdom and it was great leaving the driving to someone else.
However, there is a $25/day parking fee at the Swan hotel and when you combine that with the $30+ daily resort fee....you're still paying a hefty price. So just be aware of that when you book this hotel.
This was still a decent place to stay at least once. Not sure we would do it again.

We had a great 5 night stay at the Swan. It’s perfectly situated next to the Boardwalk and within walking distance to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios with boat transportation right outside the door if you didn’t feel like walking. There were Disney buses that ran to the other parks. The extra magic hours and 60-day fastpass booking window benefits made this an attractive hotel to choose since we didn’t have any more DVC points left to book on property.

Check in was a breeze and we were upgraded to a resort view room where we could see some of the Epcot Forever fireworks from our window. We ate at both Fresh in the Dolphin and Garden Grove in the Swan for breakfast (they offer characters at Garden Grove on the weekends). We also ate at bluezoo for dinner and grabbed takeout from Picabu and the food was good at both locations.

Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable after a day of running around in the parks. The room would be a bit warm when we returned each night but the fan kicked in and cooled down the room quickly. The shower had good pressure and I appreciated the two sinks in the room, extremely useful when getting the family ready in the mornings! The lighting in the bathroom area was nice and bright and I appreciated the open shelf under the sinks so we could store our additional toiletries there.

Overall, we had a great stay and we’ve already got several more stays booked at the Swan and Dolphin in the future.

A few weeks ago I was in Orlando and spent the weekend at at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin. This hotel is NOT a Disney property and is run by Marriott. I waited before posting because I reached out to them hoping they would make things right. I highly advise you to never stay here.

When I checked in, I was told my room was almost ready and could get my keys once it had been inspected. When I got my keys I went up to the room, but they didn’t work so I went down to the front desk and they activated them, except they didn’t work again and security had to let me in and finally got the keys to work.

I went for a walk around the property and when I came back, I turned on the light next to my clock and found friend body fluids ( I would like to believe it is snot, but it’s probably ejaculate) on it. I went to the front desk with my picture and they gave me a different room and refunded one nights resort fees.

My new room didn’t work out so well either, because the ac fan made clunking noises. Engineering came, looked at it and moved me to a third room which had no body fluids or noisy ac.

I complained to the manager the next day ( because by the time I got into my third room it was almost 10pm) and asked to be comped at least a full night stay, because body fluids are gross, and even more gross during Covid. He told me he would only give me half off one night and refund another nights resort fee, then thanked me for coming out and staying during this time. He was not going to do more and I knew it.

The following morning ( check out day) my toilet stopped flushing correctly and there was a bug in my bathroom sink.

I reached out to Marriott as soon as I got back, and they did tell me they opened a case. I called them two days ago to check on it, and they have closed it because the hotel executives at the hotel think I was compensated enough. I called them- they did not call me to tell me.

I am attaching pictures. I gave them a chance to do right by me and the situation and they didn’t, so now I am letting everyone I know hear about it. It was the most “unmagical experience” I’ve ever had at Disney. From now on, I will only stay in a Disney run hotel.

The resort itself is fantastic. great location, fun atmosphere, great dining options. But it is blatantly obvious that management is trying to do more with less. they are hiding behind "covid" on so many things, just so they don't have to hire more staff.

We checked in early around 10, our room wasn't ready - no big deal that is what I expected. We left our luggage with bell services then went to the parks. we came back around 5:30pm to quickly shower before dinner, change and feed our crying infant and our room STILL wasn't ready. the girl at the front desk said housekeeping was behind because they were at 100% occupancy the night before and housekeeping was under staffed.

Finally, around 6 we got our room. We called bell services and they said they will be right up. 20 minutes later, still no luggage and we needed more formula for our baby. we called again, they said they would be right up. 20 minutes after that my husband called and offered to bring our cart upstairs because we desperately needed the formula in one of the suitcases, they said we couldn't do that. Finally, 50 minutes later we got our suitcases, and we were able to feed our screaming baby. we were 2 hours late for our dinner reservation at Disney Springs, but the restaurant there was absolutely amazing and so accommodating.

Housekeeping does not come during your stay, as they are trying to hide behind the safety of "covid." I don't believe that for a second, they clearly let go of most of their housekeeping staff and they don't want to pay for them to return.

Check out day, we had to call for a bell cart. they said it would be a 45 minute wait because there was only one bellman on duty?? so we waited. my husband called again and asked if we could just bring the cart to the room because we had to leave and they said we could not do that because they are a "full service" resort. so we waited, and then Anthony showed up. Anthony with bell services is the reason we will probably come back to this resort. He was so genuine and kind, such a great guy. He should be in a management role, just a hard worker.

Overall, our stay was fine, it is just so obvious that management is making the staff work double as hard so they don't have to hire anyone else. I am sure we will be back but not for awhile

We just stayed at the swan less than a month ago. The alcove rooms are amazing with lots of space and a nice sitting area. I guess it depends on how much time you will be spending in your room.
