Great modern new hotel that is absolutely beautiful. The customer service from the time you arrive until you leave is excellent. The rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable. You can check your luggage if you arrive early and start enjoying the amenities right away, as well as take the shuttle to the theme parks. The pool was warm and relaxing, very clean and the same for the jacuzzi. The Urban cafe has delicious food and a great selection of menu items to eat and enjoy. You also have starbucks. The drinks at the bars are excellent and top shelf. The roof top bar is breathtaking and the food and drinks are delicious. Shuttles run every 10 minutes and you never have to wait long to get to the parks or return from the parks. There are also garden walkways if you choose to use those and it is safe and has security along the way. Other Universal hotels are within walking distance and you can enjoy there amenities as well. There is shopping at the Universal stores located in the hotels and other shopping is within a 10 minute radius. So much to enjoy as far as eating, drinking and relaxing.

This property is great for the price. Most rooms have a stunning view ( make sure to get one on a higher floor that faces the parks). Our room seemed nice and clean, modern minimalist style. Even had a mini fridge. Only thing we did not like about the room was the closest light switch was in the hall for the vanity area. iPad controls most room fuctons. Lots of outlets and USB inputs for gadgets. Rooms are small. Like ones you would find in NYC or a large European city.
Some Do's and Dont's
Do: Visit the pool area, even with splashing kids its fun. The bartender can even fix you a nice drink. Visit the Sky Bar the views are amazing. They even serve burgers. Park your car in the parking garage make sure you keep your room key even after checkout you will need it to exit. Take the shuttle to the parks you may be able to enter early. Do visit the hotel Universal souvenir shop. Make friends with one of the bartenders (this will be important later).
Dont's: don't take the iPad out of the room. Try not to go on a weekend. The hotel, like the park, can be very busy. Sometimes there were up to 15 minute waits for the elevator. Dont buy the refillable cup from the hotel and expect to use it in the parks. If you buy a refillable cup from the parks you "may" be able to "purchase" stickers (if you have made friends with a bartender) that allow you to use them at the hotel.
The wife and I had a great time but the property seemed understaffed. We noticed most areas seemed unkept. Hard to get service in some areas. Starbucks was only open morning to early afternoon. One will have to go next door for a full service full menu resturant (hotel has a cafe) Parking was 14 per day. Overall a postative visit at a great price!

We loved the sleek design and clean, high tech feel. The lobby is spacious but easy to navigate, and the 'food court' area is a great alternative to City Walk if you just feel like staying in one night. The pool is very large, with plenty of seating, a separate hot tub area, a bar, and movies for the kids during after dark swimming. The room was terrific, we loved the NO CARPET (so much cleaner), the wraparound view, the separated beds, and the tablet room controls. Our only wish was for a hook near the sink for the hang-up toiletry bag (there's not much counter space or storage), and more hooks in the bathroom for towels (there are NO towel bars.) Also, the main lights for the room run along the top of the headboard but they are not part of the tablet control, so we didn't know they existed until we were packing to leave! LOL. The shuttle to the parks was great, service was excellent, and we appreciated the early park entry. All in all, a great choice for families with older kids, who will love the tech vibe.

The property personnel were above and beyond their duties. All aspects of sanitation were always at hands length. Room service and condiments were top notch. When I would take my mask off in my room immediately there was a smell of mildew. I purchased some Lysol spray at a convience store and sprayed the room vents and the shower drain and sink, then I put a wash cloth over sink and shower drains. This seem to help a little but it was overbearing sometimes. Also I love to heat up leftovers when I get hungry again. No microwave was in room. Also late at night I wanted a cold, room service was closed but I was told that floors 4,8,12 had vending machines. I went to every floor and all machines were sold out. The part that I was worried about is the wife has an immunity problem (breast cancer survivor), so the mildew smell kind of worried me.

We arrived to the hotel and did the normal check in at the front counter. We were then told where to park, the guest services employee told us that the room card will allow access to the private parking garage which comes with a daily rate of $18 per day. Once I pulled up to the gate I inserted the card and I received the message Card Read Error. This happened on three separate occasions while at the hotel. I read some reviews and noticed this was a persistent problem with guests. On day two of my three day visit we showed up to the pizza bar and I couldn’t find an employee to help me out. I had someone who I believe was a manager take my order and someone else showed up right after to make the order. We visited the rooftop bar on the 17th floor, on Saturday it was in the low 50’s with windy conditions. At no time did the bartenders or manager decide to turn on the clearly visible heaters attached to the ceiling. We were told that if it gets below 50 degrees they would shut down the bar, however no attempt to turn on the heaters were made. On my final night we experienced an emergency alarm over the PA system inside our room at 330am. The alarm was an automated message stating that “ladies and gentlemen your attention please an alarm has been activated...” this went on for 3 minutes and on three separate occasions during a 30 minute time span. On the second alarm I called the front desk and asked them if something is going on and if I should be alarmed. They answered they weren’t aware of any issues or alarms but would look into it. Horrible last night having to be woken up by an alarm. The hotel didn’t seem really busy hence the whole “COVID-19” debacle going on. But the hotel looked clean and maintained. There is no designated hotel restaurant, just smaller stations for breakfast, sushi, pizza and burgers. Overall I wouldn’t return to this hotel I booked it to try something different. I should have stayed at my normal home away from home when I visit Orlando.

From the outside this looks like a wonderful hotel, tall, modern, and sleek. However once you get past the front doors everything goes downhill fast. The first issue is the absolute horrible elevator planning. There are only six elevators for the entire hotel and they are all clustered in the same area. One of them was usually broken during the week we were there and another one is a dedicated "express elevator" for the rooftop bar at night. That left four elevators to service the guest room floors which meant a long line every single time. There is nothing worse in my opinion than coming back after a long day in the parks and not being able to get to your room quickly.

The second big issue was the lack of food options and the quality of the options available. The food at Cabana Bay is head and shoulders better and there are plenty of options available until 11PM. At Aventura the only option available after 10PM is pizza and it is the worst pizza available for $15. The pizza at red oven in citywalk is less expensive and actually wood fired. The picture of the pizza on the menu board at Aventura is nothing like the pizza you receive. It honestly reminded me of Digiorno. They have a huge pizza oven that you can see but they don't actually cook the pizza's in it. Also, we wanted gelato at around 4 one afternoon but there was no one working the gelato area, once I found someone and asked about it I was rudely told that it wasn't available until after 5. Meanwhile you can walk across the street to Sapphire Falls and get anything you want anytime of day. The lack of service was baffling to me.

The lack of housekeeping "due to covid" is ridiculous. It is fine for thousands of people to wait in line shoulder to shoulder all day long to ride rides, it is fine for ride operators to lean over right in front of me to check the restraints, but it is not safe for someone to enter my room and clean it? Proper cleaning and sanitization would do more to combat Covid rather than having a room go uncleaned for a week.

Finally not nearly as important but the theming is non-existent. The whole place is cold and unfeeling. Every other Universal hotel has a clear theme, Aventura is just a building with rooms in it.

Skip it and stay at Cabana Bay or Sapphire Falls!

The hotel looks good from the outside. And I think it’s only around 2 years old, so I expected it to be good. But it’s not. There is noise in the room all night from cars passing (we were on 11th floor). At 2:38am they was a very loud noise that woke us both up. No idea what that was. The pillows are so thick that my neck was hurting. The bedsheets are too thin unless you want to use the bed cover as a sheet. There is a lot of light coming in from outside ALL NIGHT. At least at night there shouldn’t be light coming in.
I personally don’t like the sink is not inside the bathroom, if you want to wash your hands (or turn on the light) at night then you wake up whoever else is in the room.
This hotel is in no way worth the money we spent. We would never go back there again. It’s not recommended. The only good thing about it is the overall look from the outside (which is what fooled us).

Having been spoiled with some of the other Universal Orlando Resort hotels such as Hard Rock, Royal Pacific and Portofino, I was nervous about staying here I needn't have been. While the others have skyrocketed in price, Aventura offers a quality and affordable alternative.

Upon checkin, we were greeted by the extremely helpful Kyle who gave us a choice of room, complete with a visual of what our view would be like.

The room itself was reasonably sized and the beds were comfortable. I agree with previous reviews that the bathroom sink area lacked storage space and I also would've liked decent sized bath towels but these are minor grumbles! Our 9th floor room had an amazing view of International Drive and was wonderful of a night time when all lit up. The iPad was a nifty touch, with a speedy text option if you needed to.contact reception.

We did have some unruly neighbours for a couple of nights but security handled these without hesitation.

The pool is a good size and temperature with complimentary towels. Urban Pantry offered some nice good options and we found the $18 refill cups for the entire stay to be a real bargain although the freestyle machines out by the pool weren't restocked as often as the ones inside which was a disappointment.

Bar Ventura and Bar 17 Bistro both offered great cocktails.

Oh, and the location in proximity to Volcano Bay.... Amazing. Literally outside the back gate!

Overall, a huge thumbs up. I loved the styling of the hotel, the convenience of being able to use the water taxi at Sapphire Falls and the relaxed and friendly feel. Thinks I'd like to see improved are the towel sizes in the rooms and the freestyle machines by the pool.

Already booked to return next year!

After staying in Sapphire Falls hotel (next door) 2 years previously, we decided to try this hotel as it was brand new. Compared to Sapphire Falls, the price for 11 nights was much more reasonable and the hotels are literally next door with both having access to Universal Studios via bus or boat free of charge (the boat access is situated at the back of Sapphire Falls). The hotel was modern, very clean and had the same room layout at Sapphire Falls but with a different style of decor. Everything in this hotel is high tech and the room facilities are controlled using an IPad. My husband liked this feature but I found it a bit unnecessary. Pool was lovely and quiet, and they also have a pool bar with comfy seats and a fire pit which is a really nice feature. From the pool area, you can also walk directly into Volcano Bay which takes about 5mins and you get early access to Volcano Bay & Universal Studios as a Universal hotel guest. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Orlando and planning to spend time in any of the Universal parks. I found this hotel excellent value for money in terms of the room charge and parking compared to Sapphire Falls, however Sapphire Falls does have a nicer pool area. It depends what you are looking for, but I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and we had an excellent stay!

Step inside this swanky, modern hotel - but for a budget-friendly cost. My partner and I (each 24 years old) found this hotel to be comfortable, sophisticated, and more adult-friendly than some of the other options offered by Universal Orlando. The hotel is modern, offering stylish and sleek architecture, boasting a unique building shape, not compromising on comfort. Guest rooms were modern, garnished with clean light colors and modern technology; Think NYC boutique hotel vibes. An interesting feature was that a tablet, centered on the night stand, controlled various lighting fixtures, the television, and offered hotel/Universal amenity information and more to guests. I found this feature to be very helpful during our stay. The double Queen option may be tight for some families of 4, but was very comfortable for the two of us.

The hotel itself has a pantry area with various food options offered daily if you wish to eat quick and easy meals. This is in no way a supplement for restaurants though. A Starbucks is also located between the pantry and main lobby, as well as a lobby cocktail bar. Service at this hotel was impeccable as whenever out of the room and at the theme parks or CityWalk, we were never shorted fresh towels and a room tidy by the staff. All food and drinks served at the hotel were served in a timely fashion as well as always being of good quality products.

Aventura also has a roof top bar/restaurant, which is great for adults. Take the elevator to floor 17 and eat appetizers and small plates accompanied with some cocktails, beers, or wines whilst looking out on the skyline of Orlando (during operational hours of course). This feature was fantastic as my partner and I spent a night after dinner there having drinks, although the wind chill may be cold due to its higher altitude.

The pool grounds are not substantial but they are enough if you wish to spend little time by the pool during your stay. It was clean and monitored by lifeguarding staff, but again, may be better for adults and not so much for younger kids.

Overall, my stay at Aventura was fantastic (I don’t get paid to say it). I’ve stayed at numerous other hotels on Universal Orlando property, this one being my now favorite. This trip was a couples trip for my girlfriend and I, making this hotel a perfect getaway location for us. Bus transportation to CityWalk was always timely and efficient as well as convenient as it’s only a few minute ride. Take a chance and book your stay
