Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We enjoyed our stay at this place! The room was neat and cozy. The bathroom looked amazing with its modern upgrades. The location was ideal for exploring St. Augustine, and we appreciated the convenient parking spot that allowed us to walk to the town easily.

This is the perfect place from which to explore St Augustine. 2 blocks from St George, 3 from Lightner Museum, close to HOHO pickup sports, easy drive to most roads that take you to beaches, close to great restaurants. I was in Pax and only ever heard noise from other units once or twice. Pickup breakfast fixings from a store and enjoy he small kitchenette. Bathroom was hugs with all amenities . Josie responded to texts very quickly. The only thing that was strange was trying to find any sports on the television at night.

Loved our stay for our 57 Anniversary! I booked direct and it was wonderful talking to the Innkeeper. After my conversation I knew it would be a wonderful experience. And it did not disappoint in any way. Comfortable, roomy, private, no hassle check in or out. Our room just steps from our car. Husband had a very stressful day and he was able to immediately relax upon his arrival. Loved walking to St George street as well as around the neighborhood. A great location tucked into busy St Augustine. We will be back.

Loved everything about this inn. From booking to staying there, it was great! We booked through the owners who were extremely helpful in the process. Location is perfect! We wanted to stay somewhere we could park our cars and not use them again until we were checking out. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go, from seeing the "Nights of Lights" to eating or just having a drink. We were able to walk to the tours we had booked. Parking is difficult during this busy time, so this was greatly appreciated. We were just far enough from things that it was an extremely quiet place to stay. The staff we met were wonderful. The rooms were clean and every room was decorated differently. Comfortable beds! Everything we needed was there. I highly recommend The Lion and Lanterns Inn and would definitely stay there again.

1. Terrific location. Quiet street that was in walking distance to restaurants and attractions. 2. Parking ( although it can be a bit tight). 3. Our room, Castillo, was exactly as pictured. Large with excellent lighting and nice amenities.4. Host replied quickly to all texts. We really enjoyed staying there and would consider again if returning to St Augustine.

The Inn was the perfect location to walk to all that St. Augustine has to offer. Cozy, quaint, romantic and with all the amenities ~ all that one is looking for when wanting to get away and explore a new area. Lions & Lanterns was excellent in every area.

Lions and Lanterns: My wife and I had a short getaway planned to Saint Augustine and we happened upon a unique and unrivaled B&B called Lions and Lanterns. L & L is trendy and chick, yet frozen in time, where the streets of Saint Augustine were abounded with horse drawn carriages. The guest’s every need is tended to by a skillful and talented innkeeper Josie, who tends to your every need, yet never gets in the way. The modern convinces which abound in L&L rival some of the most posh five star hotels. From the tasteful furnishings to the exquisite lighting, no amenity was overlooked. An inn of this vintage didn’t come with wi-fi, microwaves, unique icemaker and Keurig’s, but that is exactly what you will find here. And as if the amenities weren’t enough, you are but a short stroll to all the shops, restaurants, and attractions that St. Augustine’s historic district is known for. But in the end, it is the world class hospitality of the innkeeper’s that will bring us back again and again.

5 Star Rating! This stay was AMAZING!! my Besty’s, and I all turns 60 and decided to give Josie’s place a try. We later became Josie and the pussycats!! We three had the best time ever! Josie is the most hardest working woman I’ve ever seen in my life and so dedicated to her passion of the Success of Lions And Lanterns inn! She was the most accommodating host, and it seems she thought of everything that one would need and use while there. Each room had its own beauty and exquisite taste to fit each of our personalities. We we’re in walking distance to All the shops, eateries, etc and only 10 minutes away from the Beach 🏝️. We laughed, and had fun with Josie, David and Chris. Josie…. We Love You! ❤️ Ethel, Lois & Jackie
