The Pirate Haus seems like a prime location for anyone wanting to be close to George Street. It has "themed" rooms with hand painted murals of masts and pirate-y icons. The stair steps up to the small hotel (about 6 rooms, a common room, and kitchen) gives the lyrics to "A Pirate's Life for Me." The owner (Conrad) makes pancakes...

Worst day a the Pirate Haus for sure. Chris was going to quit that day, I wish I'd have let him. Instead he invited friends over and got drunk and when guests complained he got abusive. Gun? Uh, it was a toy flintlock that your kids were playing with earlier in the day. I'd have fired him just for being...

Great Service, Great Employees, Great Location, Great Experience! On occasion when you wake up in their artistically themed rooms, ranging from the "starry night room" to the "jungle room", you can faintly hear the sound of cannons firing at the famous Castillo de San Marco which is located right around the corner! The location is fantastic, and if you need...

Lonely Planet recommended The Pirate Haus Inn so we decided to stay there while in St Augustine. The decoration is definitely worth seeing and the atmosphere of the breakfast is just great. The best thing about the service was not that they tell you where to go, they also tell you were not to go in the town. And we...

I've stayed at the Pirate Haus before and had a great time; my most recent visit was no exception! If anything, this time was even better (there's central air now, among other happy new perks). Chris and Conrad are both very knowledgeable, friendly and fun. There's always a crazy grab-bag of people to meet over breakfast or while playing games...

I had travelled from the UK to visit my girlfriend in Atlanta, who suggested we stay in St Augustine for the weekend. The moment we checked in, Conrad (the owner) asked us what kind of places we were interested in visiting, and began circling places on a map for us.... as well as crossing out places to avoid! The room...

This was BY FAR the BEST place I've stayed at while in St Augustine. I've made many trips out there and this was my favorite place to stay at! Thank you Chris and Conrad for everything! I will be back again for sure :-)

I did a lot of research to find the right place for a girls weekend getaway to St Augustine. I finally decided on the Pirates Haus Inn. It was ALL it said it was and more. The owner, Conrad and his manager, Chris, were the "best". They helped us with everything we needed and then some. The rooms are very...

Ok, well I've been slack on leaving a review for years. This is one of my favorite places in one of my favorite towns anywhere, ever. Saint Augustine is unique, inviting, fun, and relaxing. It has great history, which is well-highlighted, great food and drink at a plethora of easy-to-reach locations, beaches way better than the ones where I reside,...

Very cool place to stay. It's themed. It's small. Guys that run it are super friendly to kids and adults. I've never stayed anywhere like it. The living room has toys, games, movies, and a couple of computers, so it really is a family room. People staying there are instant friends because of the relaxed environment. My son is 6,...
