Great old Florida style property with great service and amenities. Marine biologist gives a daily talk on shells and beach life. Rooms with kitchenettes and a great restaurant. We were there over aeaster and they hosted a party for the kids on the island. Highly recommended.

The Island Inn was a quaint lovely hotel. But it wasn't great. It is a bit tired and old. The cost was actually pretty expensive and as such I expected it to be better. The staff were very friendly and the room was nice and clean. The grounds were nice, but again they were kind of tired. The continental breakfast...

After a lot of research, I chose Island Inn and I am very happy with the decision. Our room in the Kimball Lodge with Gulf view & Kitchen Suite was very nice, peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed the breakfasts and their restaurant for dinner was very good too. Gail, the lady who works the front desk is super duper awesome...

We stayed in a Gulfview Kitchen Suite (#267) in the Kimball Lodge last week and absolutely LOVED everything about this sweet, laid back hotel. From checking in (Betsy is such a sweetie), to the lovely, clean room, gorgeous view and a fairly well equipped little kitchen - and of course, the 1 minute walk to the beach for great shelling,...

This small, old Florida style hotel is directly on the beach. The rooms are new and clean and very comfortable. A light breakfast is included. Bikes and kayaks and stand up paddle boards available. It's an easy bike ride to the grocery store or elsewhere.

My husband and I, our 6 kids, and mother-in-law, enjoyed a relaxing beach vacation and will definitely return! The beach house was perfect in every way - spacious, clean, bright, and a very short jaunt to the beach. We rented a large beach umbrella for $8 a day. Beach chairs are free. Breakfast was nice, with yogurt and hard-boiled eggs,...

This was our 4th visit to Sanibel and our first stay at Island Inn. We will definitely return! The staff was very pleasant and we had a room with an amazing view...we could watch the sun set from our patio. (Kimbal Lodge room 271 - King size/ Gulf side). It was spotless with updated appliances (no dishwasher). It's the perfect...

Great location and a quick walk to the beach. I especially liked the screened-in porch and the kitchen in our room. Enjoyed the arranged beach walk with a representative of the local shell museum. Definitely will return to the Island Inn.

Glad all was to your liking and that you took advantage of the beach walk with the marine biologist. What better way to experience all the shells you find on the beach! Hope you'll return soon.

Awesome. Right on the beach. Sandy beach with lots of shells. View of Island Inn live cam from our condo. Sweet Melissa's- favorite dinner. Great lunch at ______ Flamingo. National Wildlife Refuge tram tour is a must with a naturalist guide.

Seems you had a great vacation & enjoyed some of the island favorites. We think the tram tour is an excellent choice. Leave the driving to them and find out about the wildlife living in the refuge. Enjoy our live cam from home and come & see us again!

We were on the first floor of the Kimball Lodge in room 249. We had a screened porch that looked into the Gulf. I think you would have the same views in 247, 251 and I think there was a 253. The other even numbers face the pool area. The beach was a few steps away from our room! We...
