We drove onto the island and they charge $6 to go over the bridge onto the island. When we first got onto Sanibel Island, we stopped at the welcome center and picked up information. Some of the handy things were the books with coupons and restaurant menus. We toured both Sanibel Island and Captiva but never crossed back over the... More

Really great location if you want to be on the beach but still feel semi-private. Only 27 units total. Large freshwater pool was never crowded and noodles were provided. We stayed on 1st floor and we still had a water view (101). Clean and well-maintained. We found ours through FRBO, and sanibel holiday was the mgmt company. Everything went off... More

These three privately owned 3 level condos are in the perfect location---the middle of the bow that makes up the outer curve of beach on the southernmost stretch of land. The seafloor shelf extends itself way out so that a swimmer or Sheller won't be in too deep. Pelicans, gulls, and sandpipers make up the usual shore bird population. The... More

I am familiar with several units in all 3 buildings. Building 1 is next to the larger Pointe Santo complex on the east, and can sometimes be noisy. Building 3 is next to the public beach. Building 2 overlooks the pool. All units have beautiful Gulf views. As a frequent visitor since 1981, I feel that Sanibel Island is being... More

We stayed in #112, a corner unit on the top floor with amazing views of the ocean and sunsets. The condo itself was very well equipped - we stayed over Thanksgiving and everything we needed to make dinner was there, even a large slowcooker. There were also nice beach towels and a storage unit downstairs with everything you would need... More

We loved our week long stay in building 3 of Tarpon Beach Condos. The setting is perfect, very private and intimate with only 29 units in three buildings. Very clean and well maintained, our unit had everything we needed. Location is central yet very quiet, and just a ten minute bike ride to groceries/shopping. We saw dolphins offshore everyday, and... Great family vacation. Everything in our unit (301) was absolutely perfect. The view was spectacular. You will not be disappointed. Unit 301 is located conveniently by the pool and beach access. Tastefully decorated and everything you need for vacation is provided from bikes, beach towels and fishing rods. The owners have truly done the thinking for you.

Regarding Tarpon Beach Condo #201. The beach is clean, this is a great central location. The lady at 'Cottages to Castles' is the most accommodating and friendly person. I called at least 12 other places, and only Cottages to Castles were accommodating on travel dates. She went above and beyond the call of duty for us. The unit was very... More

Wonderful stay at Tarpon Beach. It is very easy to get to (but also close to the public beach area). Pool is decidedly pedestrian but when the beach is so near, who needs it? I'm sure each condo has its good and bad points - ours was tastefully decorated and adequately furnished, though the kitchen and baths were starting to... More

Stayed in unit 302 which was middle unit of 1st floor in building to the right when pulling in complex. It was perfect for us. Nicely decorated, comfy beds, very well equipped kitchen- actually best i have experienced in a rental, secure wifi in unit, stocked w beach stuff, bath and beach towels, and even 2 bikes.
