What a gem! Incredibly warm and helpful hosts, a great private site with the benefit of a woodland fairy garden, a pond and lovely walks. Our children (8 and 12) loved it the minute they arrived and we all felt so relaxed. The safari tent we had was spotlessly clean and very well equipped and the beds were cosy and warm. Little extras like bats/balls and badminton rackets, homemade cake and milk on arrival were really brilliant. The location is great for exploring the Suffolk coast and there are plenty of local attractions nearby. We will definitely be back! Oh - and the chickens were a HIT! :) Thank you Lynne and Ian!

Our family enjoyed a lovely few days of peace and relaxation in our beautifully designed and well kitted out tent. We had the hot tub and fishing rods which kept the children entertained. A Useful lockable charging box for small electrical items was located only a five minute walk away. Our doggy also enjoyed his stay and loved the complimentary dog biscuits! The delicious cake and pint of milk on arrival was a welcome addition after a long drive. Hosts Lynne and Ian were extremely helpful with advice on the area and prompt with sorting any issue. Highly recommend such a delightful holiday!

Whoever said camping in the rain isn’t fun, clearly hasn’t been to Hidden Meadow.

Arriving within days or lockdown loosening and our glamping tent is superb. The weather less so, but the service, set-up and facilities kept a smile upon our face. Everything has been thought out. Whether the “adventure” to find the “hidden meadow” or the home baked cake on arrival - nothing is too much trouble.

The tents are big, well planned, and clean. Our own chickens provide breakfast and our fellow guests are well social distanced with circa 50m between tents.

Well located only 10min from Beccles- local amenities are near and the amazing Southwold fees just round the corner. If you want a glamping experience in Suffolk. Book now.

A truly lovely glamping experience with everything thought off by the lovely hosts. Everything in the Safari tent is kept so well as is the bathroom and the pizza oven and hot tub made the whole experience more special than the usual camping experience.

I would recommend it to anyone.

The site feels secluded and the surrounding area is lovely. Vehicles aren’t allowed on to the meadow which adds to the experience. Access is via a footpath. We enjoyed a walk through a local nature reserve and along a river footpath (the broads and the town of Beccles are within easy reach).
The safari tents are very spacious and comfortable, with thick duvets for those cooler nights. The owners provide lamps and tea lights and a solar powered emergency light. You have a log burner, solar fridge, gas cooker, BBQ and pizza oven. Each tent has its own hens, which you can tend to and collect eggs from, which is a nice touch. Lynne and Ian were very welcoming and friendly throughout our stay. They provide various extras that would undoubtedly add to the experience, and the cake baked by Lynne on arrival was very nice. We enjoyed our first glamping holiday, and had a few laughs to.

Had a fantastic long weekend stay here, it’s perfect for a break away from the world. The Jenny Wren tent we stayed in was perfect for 4 adults although does sleep more.
We was extremely impressed with the standard of the tent and the attention to detail Lynne and her husband had gone to, to make our stay special.

Unlike other camping holidays I’ve been on I wasn’t expecting to have full use of kitchen utensils and even small things like tin foil and washing up liquid, even tea and coffee was provided. I had packed all of mine, so to anyone looking to book you do not need to pack them.

We had our very own chickens, which was a nice touch to our stay and even as adults were excited to see they had laid eggs fresh for us every day!

As a family we love to chill by a log fire, and this was definitely used for cooking breakfast and dinners in the evening. I would recommend trying the Dutch oven, we had great fun cooking a chilli over the fire.

We hired the pizza oven, and wow what a great experience. Be careful though they cook very quickly and taste lovely!

We love to paddle board and not far from the site there’s a lovely place to launch off very quiet and picturesque. It’s just next to Beccles Lido, free parking too.

They have a fishing pond, and although it was my first time fishing to catch a fish admittedly extremely small was extremely great fun.

Couldn’t recommend this place enough. Made to feel extremely welcome and being 5 months pregnant they made sure everything was okay. And we definitely will be back and with our new addition to the family.

Look forward to staying here again...

We spent two nights at Hidden Meadows in April 2021, our first getaway after a long lockdown, and it was just the tonic. Although our visit coincided with unseasonably chilly weather, necessitating many layers of blankets overnight, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience of spending time in the Kingfisher luxury safari lodge. Lynne and Ian were the perfect hosts, and attended to our every requirement. Inside, the wooden floor, comfortable beds, well-stocked kitchen and lounge furniture made this feel much more like being in a self-catering cabin than actually being under canvas. Best of all was being able to spend time together by the fire at night, under the starry sky. In the mornings, our children enjoyed feeding our designated chickens - a nice touch which really added to the feeling of being properly in the countryside. We also loved exploring the fields and the surrounding area, especially a walk to the River Waveney in the spring sunshine. Hidden Meadows is in an excellent location for exploring some of Suffolk's many treasures. We would definitely go back.

We stayed at Hidden Meadows glamping over the second May bank holiday weekend and the 4 of us (we have 2 daughters age 10 and 12) had a fantastic time. We didn't leave the site the whole weekend we were having such a lovely, relaxing time! The tents were luxurious, well equipped (including a welcome pack when we arrived with delicious cake baked by Lynne!) and had lovely open views to the woods. The girls loved collecting the fresh eggs from the chicken coop next to our tent every morning and having lots of space to play badminton and frisbee and explore (safely - no cars allowed) the paths and woods around the site. We took advantage of many of the "extras" and highlights for us were: the air rifle shooting session, the fab wood fired hot tub outside our tent; Lynne's delicious home made lasagne and apple crumble; they also brought us fish and chips one evening (it was a real treat to not have to leave the site and not to have to do much cooking (apart from one evening we used the wood fired pizza oven)). But what made the whole stay for us particularly enjoyable (and we have visited lots of glamping sites over the last few years) was the hosts, Lynne and Ian, who were very welcoming, friendly, helpful and kind throughout our stay. Thanks very much for having us and we would love to come and stay with you again.

We just had a 4 day family holiday, Grandparents, Parents and Grandchildren, 15 of us in total. Lynne and Ian were phenomenal hosts. They were attentive and so helpful. We did a lot of the activities they offered and they were brilliant. The fishing was a hit with my 7 year old son. The whole experience was truly a pleasure and we will definitely be returning soon and often. The little touches made a huge difference. Their homemade cake on arrival was delicious and having marshmallows for toasting was great. Logs for the fire and even tea, coffee and hot chocolate were there. The tents were gorgeous and we all slept well. My 5 year old daughter even slept in following a day of exploring and adventure. From start to finish and thoroughly great trip.

Beautiful, clean and luxurious safari tent glamping.

The best, friendly hosts who have thought of everything from arrival cake snd milk to luggage transport. They are on hand for anything you need but the site is so well laid out that you wouldn’t know they are there is you don’t want or need them to be.

The site is self contained, well laid out and you get your own chickens for your stay. The toilet and shower is also private to each group.

We had a superb campfire and the wood burner was a godsend in October.

The beds are so comfortable with top quylimens and quilts and there is solar lighting in the main tent.

We loved it. We will be back.
Top Marks to Lynn and Ian the hosts.
