What a delightful holiday hotel!!! Run by a lovely Greek family (Andreas the elder still lives here) and just perfect for a sweet sunny time on this lovely, laid back island. Have been here several times now and there's a strong, old-school family holiday vibe here when its busy, fair few kids running around. If you catch it when its not busy (mid-week or off season), it can be a bit of simple luxury, sipping a G&T by the pool until the early evening, then popping into the family's terraced restaurant (right next to the pool) for a Greek salad and pasta.
Rooms are basic but spotlessly clean (and cleaned every day), as are all the amenities here. The aforementioned pool is a delight. You get a seaview from a lot of the rooms on the upper floor. The price per room is incredibly reasonable too, as are the prices of food and drinks. It feels like something of an old-school gem and if you talk to people here, you'll find a lot of people returning again and again. We even met one guy who'd had his family holidays here, now returning with his own kids (even though he could have stayed somewhere more expensive).

Another lovely fortnight at Andreas’s. Everything is great. Rooms are not large but well equipped and spotless. Pool is really nice, and lots of sun beds. The food in the restaurant is the best. Traditional Greek cooking and as good as it gets. The family and staff are all very friendly. Home from home. Looking forward to returning in September for another two weeks. Most guests return year after year, so early booking recommended. All the bad reviews are for a different Andreas Hotel in Kefalonia!!

Love this family run hotel. Have been coming here for many years and always have a good time. For me it is probably the most consistent place I have visited in Greece; places go up and down in value and comfort, but Andreas’ remains consistently high. The hotel is quaint, clean and comfortable. Our room had aircon and a refrigerator for drinks, a small but nice bathroom and a good sized balcony with sun canopy. I have seen a recent review stating that the beds were like planks… we had two rooms between 3 and the beds were absolutely fine. The pool is lovely, as is the pool bar, but the best part about this hotel is the staff, always helpful and friendly, especially Maria.

This hotel is in a lovely setting and could be outstanding, but it’s really really not. It provides breakfast, which is incredibly basic, but ,because of this, the rules are that you can’t have any other food or drink in your room, which is ridiculous!! The pool bar is very expensive and the food quality very poor. We sat one day for 45 minutes, whilst we waited for omelette and chips-the gas went off between the cooking of the chips and the omelette, though the chips remain plated while this was rectified and so were completely cold upon serving. This was all done by a boy of about 12 or 13,who also served alcoholic drinks!! The room was barely cleaned each day, coffee cups(the only beverages permitted!!) weren’t washed, the bathroom wasn’t cleaned and the floors were not mopped every day.We have NEVER stayed in any accommodation where this was not done on a daily basis! The pool area was just not cleaned-we took cleaning wipes down every day,to clean sunbeds and tables,we even used pool water to clean the ground between the sunbeds-again,we’ve ever had to do this at any other hotel. Finally,we felt that, since there was no mention anywhere on the Jet2 website, that we would not be able to bring our own food into the room, this hotel was mis sold to us.

Hotel Andreas is a ‘rip off’, the prices extortionate. Greek gov rules state small bottle of water to take away, no more than €0.50, at Hotel Andreas it’s twice the price. 4 thin slices of baguette €2, it’s €1 in good tavernas for twice as much bread. €3.50 for can of coke or Sprite- even at the airport it was only €1.40. Be warned. Greek salad €7.80. There are notices saying guests not allowed to take drinks and food to rooms - no wonder, when they are so money grabbing. This is the first time in Greece, that I’ve not been offered a complimentary drink. We spent hundreds of Euros at the hotel, in the week we were there, and not even a complimentary shot of Raki. Every Taverna or Restaurant that I ate in, even just once, gave us the customary thank you drink. I know it might seem like I’m making too much of this but, it really did put the nail in the coffin of Hotel Andrea’s hospitality. Beds unbearably hard, I mean like a plank! The walk into Skala a bit of a haul coming back up the hill.
On the plus side, the staff are friendly, and I couldn’t fault the food itself. The place generally well kept, quiet and didn’t feel over crowded. But I can’t recommend it.

Returned to Andreas Hotel after many years, with our 2 teenage grandsons. It was brilliant when we used to go, and is still brilliant now. Rooms are not large, but well equipped and comfortable, with good air con, fridge and safe. The pool is very nice, and in July there were always loungers to spare.

Best thing is the food in the restaurant. Real home cooked Greek food. The daily specials are delicious, and it is great value.

Although first visit in many years, already planning to be back next year.

It is a great pity that some less than good reviews for a similarly named hotel in Skala, Kefalonia end up here, as it reduces the rating from the 5 it should certainly be.

Great value hotel on Agistri. This is not the hotel on Kefalonia that people keep leaving poor reviews for. This is family run, with incredibly friendly and efficient staff. Big shout out to Egla, Maria, Nectaria and Andreas. Fantastic pool, great food and really good prices. Quiet location. People have been coming back here time after time.

We stayed at Hotel Andreas for 7 nights. Hotel very clean. Rooms are good size. Bed very comfortable.
Beautiful pool. Breakfast very nice. Elizabeth snd Denis are very good hosts. When we return we would love one of the rooms on the front of the hotel as there are sea views.
Great location. Down the hill to all the bars/ restaurants and the sea. First time in Kefalonia but will definitely be returning.

Andreas comes over as a pleasent host in public.
I however saw the other side of this man.
Nasty accusations made to me which were untrue.
Also expects his guests to eat at the hotel each night, even though it is not half board.

Avoid at all costs !!!.

We were recommended this hotel by a friend and have loved it and the island so much that we went again last year and are going back this year. The hotel is run by Andreas and his family. It is a friendly, warm place, where you can just relax.

We get a family apartment, with a little kitchenette, and balcony. The property has air con in both rooms and is cleaned daily. There is a pool, bar and restaurant on site. The restaurant in the evening is great, you can sit on the roof terrace with a sea view and watch the sunset go down. The food is magnificent and varied. The kids did like the fact that they could have Pizza, where we liked the more traditional greek food on offer.

There is a five minute walk to a long stretch of beach, with a very slow slope into the sea. Making the beach very kid friendly as the can go out quite far and still stand up. It's a great area to snorkel in too as the water is so crystal clear and there is an abundance of sea life.

Cant wait to go back.
