South Bay RV Campground is operated by Palm Beach County and as such is very affordable and not very fancy. The bathhouse on Shellcracker Circle was basic but clean, with 2 each washers and dryers. WiFi was good at our site, which was one of several very wide wheelchair accessible sites. I was pleasantly surprised to find trees on the...

This a great county park that has full hook-up facilities. We've camped here various times and have never been disappointed. A sunset walk or bike ride on the levy cannot be missed. Bring your fishing rod (and license).

Great camping, fishing. Very nice bathrooms and showers and washer & dryers all in same building. Took our dogs and they loved it. ❤️ very quiet area also next door to levee for fishing and launching your boat. Also fishing at the Rv park. Will go again in a couple of weeks.

We read some reviews here and thought we should stay 1 night to see if it was OK. I was at the office paying for a full week within half an hour. Some other reviewers complained there is nothing to do in the area. If you need to be entertained by Disney World or the like then I guess they...

Large angled sites with level concrete pad and small pad adjoining with picnic tables. ..very clean bathrooms and helpful ,kind staff. South Bay is a very small town without many amenities. .Easy ride to Clewiston for shopping and resturants. .about 12 miles..This is a guiet place for fisherman and families to enjoy Lake Okeechobee. .We will definitely return..

The campground itself is lovely. There are concrete pads and picnic tables. The park is well lit, including the walking path around the lake. The levee is directly across the road and the walking/biking path on the top of the levee is great. However, there are some serious pitfalls. The area is very remote with few choices for shopping, etc....

Just completed a drive-through to see this campground and inspect the facilities for future trips to Lake Okeechobee. This place is so much nicer, updated and cleaner than the funky old "resort" near Moore Haven where we are presently camped! Grassy area between angled sites full h/ups; all have concrete pads. Not too many trees would be hot in summer....

The campground is part of the Palm Beach county park system. All sites are paved with full hookup and excellent WiFi. South Bay is located is located at the lower east end of Lake Okeechobee and is quite remote (45 miles from Palm Beach). The main attraction is the lake itself (fishing, birding, etc.). It is a great place to...

We visited this park on our annual migration south, Staying four days. The park is clean, the restrooms are clean, they have laundry and a nice pond. Most sites have full hook up, water, electric, sewer and cable. There is a nice walking path that goes around the pond. This campground is on the edge of Beautiful Lake Okeechobee where...

South Bay RV Campground is a Palm Beach county park, so unlike with federal or state campgrounds, you cannot make reservations online through Recreation.gov or Reservation.com. You have to call to make a reservation. During the summer, they have a Buy One Night, Get One Free special, so as year-round Florida residents, we like to take advantage of it. However,...
