For the area this motel was reasonably priced and clean. A little noisy at times with people banging on doors and outside talking loudly, but this only happened a few times. The lady at check in was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area, but the person at checkout was very matter of fact and not very talkative.

I'm a 56 yr old single woman. Came to Tampa Fla, for the College National Championship Game & needed a 1 night, no frills, place to stay. I've traveled extensively, & Have to say, for a "cheaper, no frills" hotel, this is by far the cleanest one I've stayed in. It may be older, even slightly "run down"....But the bedding...

I needed an inexpensive place to stay for a convention I attended in Tampa on my own dime. Hotels near the convention center were $250-$400/night. The University In was less than $80/nt and was a very nice place to stay. University Inn is about 1 mile from the convention center - the walk took me about 14 minutes and a...

The University Inn, close to down town Tampa, the University of Tampa, the Straz Theatre, the Florida Aquarium, etc., is a very affordable, clean motel, that gets you close to everything in the down town area. This is a great place for people on a budget. Reasonably priced and within walking distance to several restaurants. Everything you need to be comfortable...

Someone ( can you guess who?) keeps posting a photo with a pool. It is not of this property, there is no pool. Be warned. Do not stay here. A real photo might make you scream and run away. it is foolish because anyone can check it out themselves, the property does not have a pool and doesn't look anything...

It is not in downtown Tampa, but in an area where the homeless stand begging outside your door. This is the only motel where they charge extra if you want a non smoking room that I know of.. The South Asian manager appears to lack basic people skills. But my room was fairly clean. The place is noisy. It is...
