The hotel was decent, definitely served our needs for a few days. Holes in the walls in our room, low water pressure in bathroom. Not really a problem and I would have added a 4th star but when I went to move my belongings down 7 floors to my car I went to the desk to get a luggage cart to use. Luggage carts were locked with bicycle locks. When I asked ho I could get one I was told that I could not use one unless a bell hop assisted me. I am a healthy man and I can carry my own luggage, I would prefer to skip the added expense of tipping a bellhop so I had to carry everything down by hand. I have never experienced this before, there were plenty of carts available. Such a disgusting money grab. I will not stay here again.

I am very disappointed to hear about the two issues in your guest room, and our team will look into this right away as we take great pride in the cleanliness and condition of our hotel. I do understand your concerns about the luggage cart, but please know that the reason we offer luggage assistance and have our carts secured, is not to force our guests into providing a gratuity to our team. Being connected directly to the airport terminal, we unfortunately have had numerous instances in the past of our luggage carts going into the terminal and not returning. This is the main reason we have our carts locked when they are not in use. Our bellman also offer complimentary luggage assistance to and from the airline ticketing counters and baggage claim, so our intention is simply to provide the best service possible. Of course, our associates always appreciate it when a guest provides them with a gratuity, but that is 100% at the guest's discretion. We sincerely hope this experience will not deter you from staying with us in the future, as our team truly strives to provide outstanding service to our guests. We stayed one night after coming from the UK, tired and not wanting to drive in the dark, we booked this hotel. You cannot bet the location as located in the airport. Check in staff very welcoming, we were given free WiFi (signed up with hotel loyalty scheme) and given two bottles of complimentary water. The room was immaculately clean, with complimentary toiletries. Shower nice and hot. We did notice that the bath was peeling at the base. Not sure if a safe is provided, but we couldn’t find it. Our room was allocated on the 3rd floor near the lifts. We found the room location to be noisy, as heard the lift go up and down. We could also hear toilets flushing too. At the end of the day, you are paying for the location rather than luxury.

We got stuck at the airport but at least we got to sleep in a nice hotel. Once we found out that we had missed our connection our travel agent swing into action and found us a room at the hotel that is connected to the airport. After dealing with lost luggage claim we walked over to the Marriott. It was 2 am. Front desk people were lovely and got us right into a quiet, clean room. We spent 3 hours sleeping and then a hot shower and back to the airport concourse (less than 5 minute walk) by 6 am. If you’re stuck overnight in Tampa this is a great hotel. Worth every penny.

Tampa Airport Marriott is located directly off the second level concourse, so it’s easy and fast to find. I didn’t have a reservation, but I got a great front desk check in by D’Andra that was positive and professional. My room was 408 with King bed and a view of the airport. The room has solid furniture including a good wood desk and ergonomic chair. The bathroom is modern and perfectly clean. The shower is hot with decent water flow. I got my wake-up call on time and from a friendly real person (I think…I was pretty sleepy). In the lobby there’s a café bar with surprisingly great coffee, and very good French madeleines — and it was very reasonably priced. There’s a bright and spotless clean breakfast /TV area, and a patio with a pagoda and palm trees. This is a hidden gem of a hotel, and reminds me why Marriott is always a solid choice. I just wish I’d chosen a Marriott for the rest of my weekend in Tampa! Thanks everyone :)

We booked this as we expected to arrive at 10 pm following a 12 hour travel day with kids. Our connection was delayed so we arrived at 1 am and could not be more grateful for this hotel. It took 5 minutes to collect our bags and walk to the hotel. Check in took seconds and we were in bed immediately. The following morning we got coffee from the lobby and then onto the Skyconnect to the rental car. The room was clean and big enough for a family of 4. The complimentary shampoo etc was plentiful and meant I didn't need to dig through my bag.

This is one of our favorite hotels in the Tampa Bay area! Since we have Platinum Elite status for Bonvoy, we are treated very well and have concierge lounge access. All the employees are so nice and happy to do their job! Sara (manager) was especially helpful in getting us the exact 2 rooms we wanted (and we were picky). Cherylann (concierge lounge breakfast attendant) so cheerfully and efficiently provided a super nice breakfast with freshly cut fruit and a welcoming atmosphere. Michelle and Jerry and others at the front desk and restaurants were also professional and hospitable. Since this hotel is part of the airport, it provides extra conveniences such as many restaurants and shops (before security), many places to walk around inside, fewer days needed for car rentals, and less travel time before and after flights. We travel to the Tampa area often and really look forward to staying at this hotel again several times in the coming months.

A very convenient stop at the airport. We last stayed pre- pandemic and the hotel had improved the food quality in the bar/ restaurant. The gym had also been improved. Overall, if you need a stay at the airport, it is a good convenient place to stay.

Excellent stay. It was a quieter than I would expect being onsite at TPA. The staff was very friendly. The room was a bit outdated but very clean. The executive lounge was well supplied. I will definitely stay on-site again for an early morning flight.

Hotel looks “tired”, it’ll do with a refurbishment. No free Wi-Fi, I found the policy of Wi-Fi very misleading and my son, 14 yr old, connected to it for a split second, when I realised and put is tell off line was to late and I was charged on the room the day after, for approx $14.69 for a split sec of data! Never happened to me in any other hotel in the world where normally you get free Wi-FI when you are a guess! Very disappointing. Also, quite shocking: we get in the lift after checking in, and one of (apparently) manager on duty came out of it with another person; while they were having a conversation talking this other guy used the F world few times, just in front of us and we have kid 14 yrs old and 6 yrs old: My wife complained about it but I’m pretty sure it didn’t got anywhere, looking at the face of receptionist when she made the complaint… Very disappointing, not at all at Marriott standard. Look for somewhere else if you want a night sleep before taking an airplane or arriving at Tampa International….

We do offer complimentary WiFi in our guest rooms for members of our Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program. I understand this is not something that everyone is interested in, but it is very simple to enroll and there are a lot of great benefits with that program. While I hope you will consider this in the future, we are certainly happy to provide you with a refund if your family did not intend to connect. I also understand and appreciate your comment about our hotel need a refurbishment. All of our meeting space was renovated last year and we anticipate a full renovation or our guest rooms, lobby and restaurants in the very near future. Our team truly takes great pride in the service that they provide, and we sincerely hope we will have another opportunity to serve you again in the future. With regards to the issue you encountered with someone coming off our elevator, I would also like the opportunity to learn more about this. We not only take great pride in the service that we provide, but also the professionalism with which we provide - so this situation is certainly very concerning. Because our hotel is located directly in the airport, there are many companies that have offices within our hotel and a lot of people move through this area. I would appreciate the opportunity to understand what happened as we are obviously very concerned. The hotel is in the perfect location if you have an early flight out of the airport. Check in was quick and easy. Front desk personnel were pleasant. The rooms need to be remodeled. They’re old and they’re showing age. Overall it was a fine stay.
