The rooms were clean and restful and the lobby downstairs is gorgeous with lots of comfortable seating and old fashioned game tables. Breakfast was really good but our Thanksgiving dinner was awful....I was so disappointed. For the price it should have been superb. It was a huge buffet where food sat all day. When we ate later in day had... More

Beautiful historic lodge in idyllic setting! Lovely room with forest view. Very clean with comfortable bed in a lovely antique room. Good toiletries, blow dryer, iron/ironing board. WiFi could be a bit stronger for steaming Netflix. The lobby, grounds and dining room are beautiful, but I was surprised at how average the food was. I was expecting a 5 star... More

The Lodge is a great place to calm one's jangled nerves before the holidays. Listed as a national historic site, the inn has charm of the 1930s. No TVs in the room! Hallelujah! The lodge sits next to the Wakulla Springs which is a wonder of clear water and a haven for animal. There are trails to hike through the... More

We were staying in nearby Saint Marks for the weekend and decided to visit the Springs which is something everyone should do if in the area. After the boat ride we visited the adjacent lodge for a hot drink on a cold day. The gift shop and cafe has one of the longest marble counters in the world. They serve... More

Had a great time on the State Park nature walk and boat cruise topped off by lunch in the dining room at the lodge. This excellently restored property takes you back to a time when dining out was a classy affair. Don't worry however there is no dress code and casual is just fine. The service was great even though... More

My husband and I decided to visit here. The interior of the lodge is so pretty. The springs are behind the hotel where they filmed the movie "The Creature From the Black Lagoon". Incidentally they have boat rides which I highly recommend, even if you don't stay at the lodge. It's a lovely step back in time. No TVs in... More

We were really impressed with the inn and especially the park. The park is a gem all its own. The wildlife is amazing and you must take the evening boat tour! The inn is older and has a slightly musty smell which only increased the charm. The food at the restaurant was very good and the rooms were clean and... More

Built in the 1930s this place is full of history and a work of art. The rooms are comfy and elegant old world style. The staff was wonderful and helpful. They have a great restaurant and of course the springs directly behind the lodge. This is just a great place to stay.

We decided to stay after the boat ride. Older 80 year old hotel full of character. It was good to give the kids a glimpse of non-chain hotels. Nice breakfast included. No tv room, scant cell signal, some wifi in hotel. Great place to unplug! And the staff was very helpful and friendly.

Loved this place it was a lovely lodge maintained well -the food was great and the staff very friendly. The boat trip was very interesting - our captain and guide Jeffery was knowledgeable and took time to point out wildlife and points of interest. The bed was not that comfortable but I am fairly fussy about my mattress and usually... More
