My wife and me stayed in Shanser's homestay and it was a wonderful experience. The homestay located on a mountain and therefore gives a beautiful view over the Himalian mountains. Shamser and his wife are very helpfull and the food is very good. If you want to you can help Shanser at his school as well.

I stayed at the Heaven Hill Homestay for one week, enjoying the sublime views of the ''Himals'', the snow mountains, hiking around the village, and experiencing the local life of the inhabitants of Gaunshahar ! The rooms are really good and comfy, the food delicious and the family really welcoming ! Will come back for sure !

Namaste, my homestay is located on a top of a hill close to Besisahar with a stunning view on the Himalayan Mountains. The name of my village is Gaunshahar and to come here the easiest way is to take the pink bus 161 in front of the Tukuche Peak in Besisahar. We have common bathroom with hot shower and European washroom. For one night with three meals (same food than us) and free wifi, the price is $10.For one night without food (you will choose the food on the menu), the price is $3.If you stay three nights or more a village guided tour is offered. ... more   less
