Stopped off here on our way to Cornwall as I'm sure most people use it for a similar purpose. Nothing fancy, basic but clean and comfortable and certainly quiet enough for us. That said, it was convenient, just off the M5 so no trouble getting in or out. The room was basic but had everything you'd expect.

The room had an odd smell like an air fresher used to mask a bad odour. The toilet leaked leaving a puddle on the bathroom floor. The bedside lights didn't work so we had the bright overhead light or nothing. On a positive it was clean with a comfy bed and a good sized room.

Reception area fine, staff were courteous. However as soon as I opened the passage door it smelt damp and stale..not good. The room was ok but tired looking. A big issue was the bath, I especially looked for a room with a bath, it was a joke. About 5" deep and water was warm NOT hot. A waste of time...

The whole place seems to be in need of a refurbishment. We stayed for 2 nights. Our first room had mildew on the bathroom ceiling, the shower was a joke - the very opposite of power- and when my husband used it, the handle fell off. The hairdryer didn't work and I had to phone reception on my mobile as...

The hotel is cheap and cheerful, the rooms are quite large and simple but if you are unfortunate to be put in a smoking room like myself you will need to get a large can of febreze. The stale smoke is embedded in to the rooms and they stink, it's like someone has been smoking in them constantly for 40...
