A beautiful mountain resort, but rooms a little aged. Great little town, great staff and great massages. Would have loved to played golf on a beautiful looking resort, but my husband no longer plays golf. Many great places in town to visit.

Only thing resort about this is the golf course. The "remodeled " rooms are dated. Nice furniture but chipping paint, loud fans, wobbly deck. Restaurant closed or else we would have something other than cereal for breakfast. They lost my reservation but luckily had a room available.

The property itself is nice and in a good spot in the mountains. Great location to downtown clayton, which has some great little local nostalgic spots, good food, and overall charm. But that's it. The rooms are old, not particularly nice at all. The balconies are old/crusty and don't feel that stable. The AC units are loud and emit a... More

Recommended by a friend over 10 yrs ago, I looked at the reviews on TA and we booked a short four day stay. It was what the reviews reflected; dated, but clean, great service. Golf course was in excellent condition. Back nine a little challenging - a true mountain course. The golf pro was very helpful and friendly our entire stay.... More

We booked using TravelZoo, so we paid less. That does not excuse why the bathroom floor was rotten and the tub had sunk into the floor by 1 1/2" (no exaggeration). It was patched up, so we knew they knew. The question is, since the resort wasn't busy, did they not care or are there a lot of rooms like... More

We evacuated to Kingford CC and Resort in Clayton Ga. during Hurricane Matthew. What a wonderful find! With an older mother in law, the management happily switched our two room reservation to a two bedroom condo for not much more money. We had a lovely unit with a full kitchen, fireplace, wi-fi and a great screened in porch overlooking the... More

Stayed with my father and husband in separate rooms. Both rooms were clean (a bit musty) and ready on-time. We made a service request regarding a TV and it was promptly fixed. The resort was quiet, not much heard from neighboring rooms. We also golfed the front 9 and loved it.

This was a great change of scenery from the city. The property overall is well organized and structured. The landscape is peaceful and the staff is extremely friendly. Everyone goes above and beyond to help make your stay as wonderful as possible, especially Amanda at the front desk. We were able to stay in the lake house which was really... More

I got a great deal for a weekend stay plus breakfast so I gave it a try. The room was on the bigger side with a balcony and pet friendly. The breakfast foods ran out quickly and they were a little slow to replenish, but they kept it coming. There is a really large indoor pool with a pretty view... More

My wife and I met a small group for a weekend of golf and fun. The resort is older and somewhat dated but the room we had was large and clean so I enjoyed it. The staff was friendly and very courteous, the maid service was prompt each day and I highly recommend the restaurant. The golf course is beautiful... More
