My husband and I recently stayed in the Sunrise Eco Cabin with our new pup, and we are so grateful that they accommodate dogs here. The cabin, made from a shipping container, was cozy and quirky and just to our taste. With plenty of room for the dog crate, too. Our host, Justin,

We loved our stay at Barefoot Hills and we all agreed that we will be back. The warmth and hospitality was so welcoming and the rooms are so comfortable. Breakfast and Happy Hour are offered in the main lodge which we took advantage of. The view and surroundings are beautiful.

We recommend waiting until you get closer to the Smokies. Nantahala Outdoor Center and Fontana Dam are better locations to print your permit. Alternatively, you can save the PDF copy of your permit to your phone and not have to carry a paper copy.
