We were greeted very warmly as soon as we pulled up to this lovely Inn by the owner and top notch chef, Zach. We knew right away that we were in the perfect place to celebrate our anniversary! Zach could not have been more helpful. He helped up with planning our bike ride around town, the places we should visit...

Hello Friends! What a wonderful review to be thankful for, over our Thanksgiving Day weekend!!! We are so grateful to be on the top of the list, of your four day anniversary holiday! We love to share Darien with our guests! It's the perfect getaway to unwind, enjoy nature, history, or a beautiful sunset down at the waterfront. We look...

We made Open Gates B&B our stop over on a trip to Florida and it was a wonderful decision. We were very pleased with our stay, we only wish we had more time to explore Darien. I was traveling for work and brought my wife and 11 month old along. The bed and breakfast was great. The home has charm...

We are so glad you decided to stop as well! Darien is the blink of an eye traveling on the Interstate, but at exit 49 we are a short 2 miles to our historic downtown district. We are pretty much right in the middle of where you need to be for any historic interest in Darien. We're two blocks from...

We chose to stop at Darien when looking at a map to find a halfway stop between Miami, Fl and Cashiers, NC. We were so glad we chose Open Gates. Zach, the proprietor, was so warm and welcoming. Our room in this beautiful old house was well appointed, with all the amenities you could expect from any luxurious bed and...

This place is lovely. Our owner chef, Zach, turned out wonderful breakfasts each morning and did a great job of meeting my gluten free needs. Zach provided all the info we needed to visit Sapelo island and Fort King George. Both are worth your time. He also steered or to local restaurants and seafood markets. We enjoyed the B&B atmosphere,...

You could easily miss Darien Ga. But you will miss a Beautiful little waterfront village, with the perfect old south charm, live oaks covered in Spanish moss. Old churches on ever corner, grassy parks and an awesome fishcamp all with in walking distance of our B&B. Ope gates B&B is a rare fine and old home with a pool! The...

Hello Mary! Thank you so much for your wonderful review of our B&B and the neighborhood. It truly is charming, quaint, and a great place to enjoy a little history and a quiet walk. We are always trying to promote our little fishing village however we can. Our city docks are being revamped, weddings are becoming more popular in the...

Open Gates is the perfect name for this B&B. Zach and Kerri are warm and gracious and you will feel right at home without that awkwardness you sometimes feel at the beginning of a stay. The room itself was very comfy and inviting. Now, let's talk about the breakfast. Omelettes with fresh herbs, eggs Benedict with Zach's signature sauce, bacon...

Thank you Cathy for your exquisite review! We are so lucky to share such a charming, quiet, quaint little gem of a town with everyone that comes here. Breakfast is half the name of a bnb so we will always do our best to make breakfast delicious and personalized if we can. We thank you again and look forward to...

We spent 4 nights at Open Gates and were beyond pleased. I still haven't figured out how I'm gonna survive without Zach's amazing breakfasts each morning! The beds are so comfy and the house is beautiful. We spent time in the pool and hung out on the rocking chair front porch. Love the recommendations of the Wine Bar & Skippers,...

My sister and I had a fantastic time at Open Gates. Tired after two weeks of roadtripping, we found it so pretty and homely, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the beautiful countryside. If you're looking for something closer to a hotel experience (spotlessly clean, all amenities on tap) this probably isn't for you, but we loved the atmosphere and thought...

My colleagues and I dashed through Darien for a one night business trip, and were fortunate that Zack was able to accommodate us with three private rooms.
