Had a superb pint of Clavell & Hind / Blunder Buss Pale Ale at this out of the way atmospheric inn. Beer in top notch condition. I have had this beer at numerous other pubs, including at the Brewery, itself and this is by far the best. Inn comes complete with Bassett Hounds &

Stayed here for a wedding. It is a very old building so has quirky corridor with uneven floors but all totally in character. Added to it's charm. Comfortable bed and good enough bathroom facilities. Large tv on wall at end of bed. Wifi was not good, despite there being a wifi

Called in for drinks and dinner during our annual VW meet up, food and beers all good, place is a little run down and would benefit from a bit of sprucing up otherwise a nice place to visit. The camping area is next to the pub and is well kept but don't go if there's been a lot

Dear Neil, thank you for taking the time to share your experiences online and for drawing our attention to your concerns, we’re glad that you appreciate our picturesque riverside location, as well as our food and drinks. We always welcome feedback from our customers and appreciate your comments, yet feel it is important to draw attention to the fact we are a small, family run business and that while we make every effort within our means to stay astride of general upkeep (which can be very demanding during the warmer months of the year as we can experience very high levels of daily foot fall), we do not have the same resources to draw from that large brewery run pubs do. We do however, always endeavour to put our valued customers first and we are delighted to have many who return to visit us year after year, in addition to our local regular customers, and it is always a pleasure for us to welcome them. Many customers appreciate the relaxed and friendly ‘old wordly’ charm that we offer. We undertake our general maintenance and improvements during the winter quiet season and each year we have to decide which aspects will be invested in…as you can imagine, with many pubs closing around the country each week, it is a challenge to remain a viable business. Our riverside caravan and camping area is officially open from the beginning of May until the end of September, as flooding is more likely to occur during the winter months. However, booking in advance is advisable so that we can pass on information regarding any likely disruption due to flooding.

Hi Kevin. Correctly so it is single track but we have lots of caravans and caravans using the road regularly. There are passing places. At this time of year not a busy road. Lorries make all our deliveries via this same route also without issue. We offer motor home stop over during winter months. Our site opens again Easter. Hope this helps Kind regards Sam
