Pros: - The rooms are very nice. Spacious with a quality work space and sofa, along with a comfortable bed. Room was clean, comfortable and well stocked. - Friendly staff. All my interactions with them were positive. - Location is good if you're looking to stay near campus - which is only about 5 minutes away, if that. Plenty of...

The hotel is located at a busy intersection of Statesboro near GSU which is difficult to exit out of the hotel parking if you are wanting to head towards the town of Statesboro. This is a very clean hotel located in a nice well lit area. The hotel grounds are well maintained. Front desk check-in was a breeze and I...

My company booked an event in the convention center next to the Springhill Suites in Statesboro. The hotel staff was exceptional, the convention staff was exceptional, the fire outside made a chilly night cozy. We required some printed copies of some materials for our meeting, and the staff happily accommodated. The overnight guest rooms for myself and 5 co-workers were...

The hotel was in a good location and the room size was very nice (double queen room). We did have our fair share of problems. The thermostat was not working and we could not increase the temperature of the room above 65°F. We called to ask for assistance and a clerk came to our room, stated it wasn't working and...

As the manager of the Springhill Suites Statesboro, I take great pride in providing our guests a delightful experience while they are staying with us and I sincerely apologize if our service and accommodations were not up to Marriott standards. Rest assured, I have notified our maintenance and housekeeping department to ensure that any shortfalls and minor repairs in your...

Our family stayed here for one night prior to visiting GSU with our daughter. I used points to make the booking and we enjoyed our short stay. Check in was very efficient and friendly. Our room was small but laid out well and was clean. Parking was available and was free. The fire pit in front of the hotel entrance...

I stayed here with my family recently shortly after the area had hosted people fleeing a hurricane. While the hordes of people had been hard on the hotel, I feel it is one of the better places to stay in the area. While a few things were not working in the room, we were offered another room, but just elected...

Last weekend our group came to Statesboro for a wedding that did not go as planned. The wedding was set to be at the Botanical Gardens, until Hurricane Matthew ruined that. The morning of the big day we had to scramble to find a new venue!! Thankfully the ballroom at the Springhill, where our room block was, was still available....

We evacuated to SpringHill Suites during Hurricane Matthew, as did a hoard of other people. In spite of being booked to the max in less than pleasant circumstances, the management and staff did everything in their power to make us all feel welcome and cared about. In spite of the personal issues that they must have all been having at...

My room was beautiful and spacious with all the amenities I needed. The powder room was roomy outside the bathroom. I had a quick overnight stay and did not get to partake in the breakfast buffet but it looked awesome! Best night in a hotel in a long time!

Marriott is a great hotel chain, however this hotel has some hidden issues. The rooms appear very clean, however I saw palmetto bugs (large roaches) twice in the room, and they were also visible walking to the car in the parking lot. The coffee pot inside the room was nasty (very dirty), the phone in the room did not work...

Brian, Thank you for your comments regarding your recent stay at our hotel and we are so sorry you had a run-in with palmetto bugs. As many folks in the Coastal Georgia area can attest, there is nothing worse than one of those insects catching you by surprise. Believe me, our hotel staff takes tremendous pains and does everything they...
