Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The castle and Comte were amazing hosts. The property was beautiful and staff very helpful. We enjoyed the tranquility and peace the setting brought. Cannot day enough about this splendid place. It was raining our entire stay and the view was breathtaking. Cannot imagine how fantastic a summer visit would be!

There are not enough words to describe my 2 day stay. This was an once in a lifetime experience that everyone deserves to have! The blue blooded Count makes you feel you are his special guest at his castle and part of the royal family. It is rich in history and you get to live it through this magnificent accommodation. Everything about this place is aristocratic, romantic, lordly, and noble! The serenity, pictures, views, breakfast, wine, rooms, beds, every staff member, and the hospitality are all superb! Without any doubt it exceeds every expectation. The way that the count speaks about his heritage is just admirable. What really impressed me the most was the cleanliness that all the grounds but mainly the room had, it was spotless. The Temps d’Or is a must!

Hidden in plain sight, this magnificent Castle is very impressive with it's size and design. Most castles are run down and show their age and troubled past but this one is different, it is consistently occupied by guest who stay here. The rooms are beautiful, clean, modern and comfortable. The grounds are amazing, filled with breath taking views of the valley. There are many trails to hike or just stroll. The staff is polite and courteous. The WiFi is good and breakfast was a delight, fresh croissants and baguettes, fruit and yogurt, tea and coffee, eggs and meats.....a true pleasurable and memorable experience to say the least. There are plenty of places within and around the castle to just relax and read a good book and enjoy a nice glass of wine by the open fire in the lounge. You can enjoy a fascinating conversation with the Count himself and discuss everything from the history of the castle and his family to shared and amusing travel stories. You really feel like you are enjoying a good time with an old friend. This place is beautiful enough to host any special event. You feel like royalty here especially since you are greeted by the Count or Countess themselves when you arrive. If you are in Luxembourg you must stay here for at least one weekend, you owe it to yourself. Enjoy!!

Stayed here for one night with my family. The castle is amazing and the count is very nice, he met us at the entrance and made us feel at home. The beds have won award for best beds in the world and we agree with that, we slept very well. The breakfast was great with a lot of options, there is no dinner at the castle but a very good restaurant just 5 minutes away. The surrounding area is also very nice, we saw plenty of animals around the castle. Highly recommended, we will definetly return!:)

Recently rented 3 separate rooms for family. We were so pleasantly surprised at the incredible location and the first class amenities! Our host, Count Gaston, welcomed us to his property and ensured everything was to our liking. Outstanding service in the most relaxing atmosphere!!! Their breakfast was delicious and served in one of their lovely rooms. The furnishings are unique and the accommodations updated and so comfortable. The location is so relaxing and serene. A must for anyone visiting this area who wants a unique castle experience!

Stayed in Temps d'Or for two nights. Our room was extremely comfortable and the service was excellent. The hotel is in a wonderful position overlooking the valley of the seven castles. Great for spotting birds and other wildlife. The hotel is very quiet so by the end of our brief trip, we were really relaxed. Can't wait to return for a longer visit in the future.

This is an exquisite hotel, located on top of a cliff overlooking the village of Ansembourg with stunning views of woodlands and the Eisch valley. We arrived late to the hotel after a long 10 hour drive from Northern Italy to a castle walled entrance, bathed in soft lights and a genuine welcome. The hotel is nestled in the walls of the old 12th century castle. Whilst retaining the stonework style of the surrounding castle walls, the accommodation includes large airy rooms, with a internal style matching the castles heritage, whilst offering contemporary facilities. Attention to detail is everywhere including what must be some of the most comfortable beds in the world!. And then in the morning....... absolutely stunning views facing the east with the sun shining directly onto the hotel. Breakfast was yet another surprise - a huge variety of food, exquisitely presented. This is a unique hotel that reflects the owners and staff passion for delivering a special experience.

I wish I could describe this place using flowery language to lure you to its serenity, but it wouldn’t be enough. Peaceful, special and unforgettable are words that come to mind. From the spectacular location to the classic and modern decor inside the stone walls of the hotel, every detail will satisfy the most discerning guest. The owner and staff are friendly and eager to help, and the food is fresh and delectable. The entire experience, from booking to checkout, is second to none! We will be returning.....as often as possible.

This is just the most wonderful hotel. It is situated in a fairy secluded area - hence potentially not all that easy to find. BUT - the hotel provides enough information to make the trip there a pleasure. The hotel itself oozes charm and the old castle next-door adds a lot of character to the place. There are many spaces to sit outside and enjoy the magnificent view across the valley. The indoor lounge area is inviting and comfortable. The rooms are well appointed and the bathrooms are luxurious. There is also the opportunity to enjoy the jacuzzi and sauna. The staff go out of their way to ensure one's comfort. The breakfast is beautifully presented with fruit, freshly baked breads, cold meats and choices for warm breakfast too. It is a great place for a weekend escape with many options to keep busy in the area. We will definitely be back.

This is a lovely hotel set in beautiful grounds. The room was very nice and the breakfast had great variety and was absolutely fantastic. All of the staff we met were very helpful and friendly, including the owner who told us about the history of the castle and also recommended a couple of restaurants for dinner in the nearby village. Unfortunately, we only stayed one night, but would love to come back. Highly recommended!
