We have been staying here for a few years. Each year the accommodations are excellent. Clean cabins, bathrooms and comfortable beds. However it's the service that the staff provides that keeps us coming back. They treat you like family. Memories made at Ash Trail Lodge will last a lifetime.

My husband and I had been vacationing in Minnesota for many years before finding Ash Trail Lodge. Fishing, and enjoying the surroundings as well as the local folks our primary goal, we found it here. ATL is located in a perfect, equidistant spot allowing access to several lakes in less than a day on the water. Accommodations are comfy, clean...

I live in Atlanta "the other ATL", and had no idea what to expect about Northern Minnesota, and Ash Trail lodge was great. Great food, very cool cabins, and all I could ask for. This is one of the true gems and Deb and Steve make you feel like family. The food was also extremely good. I am also sure...

Not sure how we happened upon the Ash Trail Lodge, but since we stumbled on this diamond in the rough, we have been loyal "friends". If you want to be treated like family, this is the spot. Snowmobiling, fishing, last minute vacations. My family and friends have always been welcomed and taken care of. If it wasn't for Steve, Deb,...

We took our first trip to Ash Trail Lodge last winter for a snowmobiling getaway and had no idea what to expect. Well as it turns out, we couldnt have been much happier with our time spent in the area. It is a great central location for snowmobiling as you can go in any direction. What really impressed me the...

For those of you unfamiliar with Northern Minnesota Resorts, the term "resort" could mean anything. Built in the '40s or any time since. Mostly these resorts are old construction, very, very basic accommodations. Families come back year after year to fish and rough it in the North Country. And most love it. We stayed in a "lodge" room. Lodge must...

Thank you for your honest feedback. Our Lodge Rooms are basic sleeping rooms and we do not advertise them any other way. We try very hard to please our guests and provide them with comfortable, clean lodging and welcoming hospitality. In fact we rely on that for repeat business which over 75% of our business is. Yes, some of our...

Should have done this a long time ago. We have been going to ATL for many years. It is what we call our own 'personal heaven'. Deb, Steve and Tom are the BEST and couldn't be more accomodating. No matter what our request, (and some have been out of the ordinary) there is always a helpful and can-do response. Love...

I have been staying on the Ash River Trail for over 25 years and have spent alot of time at the Ash Trail Lodge over the years. Deb & Steve Wiebers, along with son, Tom, are fantastic hosts and run a great Lodge in the MN North woods. I have never been disappointed by my service there. The food is...
