A Trip Advisor 2014 Best Quirky Hotel, Idaho's beagle-shaped guest house is as comfortable as it is unique. Being in this dog-house is certainly a good thing! Sleeps 4; queen bed in main quarters and two twin futon mats in cozy loft area. One hour drive from the airport (LWS) in Lewiston, Idaho. Other airports at about four hours drive are Boise Idaho, Missoula Montana & Spokane Washington. Near the famed Hells Canyon of the Snake River National Recreation Area for jet boat tours, hiking, fishing & more. Mid-way between Glacier and Yellowstone National Parks. Dog Bark Park is at the edge of the small town of Cottonwood, Idaho with agricultural prairie views rimmed by rolling hills and mountains. Allow time to unwind here were life feels a bit like yesteryears with welcoming neighbors, uncrowded streets, bird songs, abundant wide skies with starry nights.

I think I have put off writing this review knowing that we won’t be going back in 2019 for the 9th year in a row. Not because we don’t want to, as visiting Dennis, Frances and Sprocket has become a family tradition, but because with limited time off we decided to explore

We will miss seeing your family next year & certainly are so fortunate that you ventured here 8 years in a row. Although correctly stated we do not offer the latest added guest amenities such as spa, massage, vaulted bathroom, etc. what we have offered for 17 years is a meticulously clean, comfortable, artfully furnished accommodation in a less-travelled part of Idaho where traffic jams are totally non-existent, scenic vistas ahead & around every corner, and, life is lived outside the fast-lane. Thanks for 8 years of memories & we'll hope to see you in 2020.

We stayed here for just one night in June on our road trip in the US. We received a lovely warm welcome from Frances on arrival together with great advice about the area and where to eat etc. Purchased two of their hand carved dogs from the shop as reminders of a memorable

Many of our guests are travelling through our area from one area to another, particularly since we are located about mid-way between Glacier and Yellowstone National Parks. We're also a day's drive from Seattle/Portland area. Fly-in locations equally about 4 hours drive from us are airports in Boise, Spokane or Missoula with the very nearest airport at just 1 hour is Lewiston, Idaho. We're so glad you enjoyed the wide selection of snacking & breakfast foods; we don't want anyone to leave the comfort of the big dog hungry! So appreciate your visit & we'll hope you'll return to Idaho again some time to continue conversations.

We are a family of 5, with kids' ages 7, 5 and 3. We couldn't imagine not em'bark'ing on an adventure to visit Sweet Willy and his lovely owners, Frances and Dennis. We stayed for two enchanted October nights. Our time spent there was full of tag around all of Willy's toys,

We've learned taking rejuvenating time away from daily life as we know it, whether for a few hours or a few day, is a well-being essential. We're thrilled your family chose to disengage here with Sweet Willy and all his big dog inn has to offer. Letting children, and their adults, too, have unscheduled time to wander and ponder as the hours unfold is precious. Dennis & I aim to furnish quiet activities such as the books and games & outdoor spaces for contemplative exploring along with a variety of foods to be all-round nourishing. We hope to see your family again. Thank you for this lovely visit.

We arrived late (8:15pm) so we missed dinner. Luckily we had some food with us,and there were great snacks in the room. Really cute room. Horrible WiFi, and no TV. No breakfast, bummer. Our dogs loved the doggie snacks. Comfortable bed. Really quiet. Owners are very

We're glad you enjoyed your stay & that the snacks were plentiful enough to replace a missed dinner. We advise late arriving guests to plan having dinner before reaching Cottonwood as our restaurants in town do close fairly early. Although we don't serve at hot breakfast at Dog Bark Park, the breakfast foods provided in the room include our homemade granola, other dry cereals, fruit, cheeses, hard-cooked eggs, yogurts, our home-baked muffins & coffee breads, fruit juices, milk, coffee, tea. Snacking foods typically include pop corn, crackers or pretzels, our famous dog-shaped butter cookies, complimentary candy & some of the breakfast items just mentioned. About the WiFi, one must be aware we are located in a very rural area of Idaho where connections & speeds can sometimes not be fantastic. Television is intentionally not provided. Instead we encourage our visitors to further enjoy the uniqueness of spending a night inside a beagle-shaped building by forgoing customary habits to perhaps enjoy browsing the many books in the dog's library. Or to put together one of the several puzzles on hand or play Idahoploy, Beagleopoly, CandyLand or any of the other board and card games also on hand.

Dog Bark Park Inn is unique and known all over the world. There is only one room, so you must have a reservation. The room is in the belly of a 30 ft. tall likeness of a beagle. As far as I know, you must climb the stairs for access. There is a large balcony on the beagle's

Sleeps 4 & maybe more depending on ages/sizes of travel party. There is a queen bed in the main quarters & two twin size mats in the loft space in the head of the dog with a bit more space for younger children to curl up in the carpeted and raised snout of the dog which is part of the loft space. Sorry I didn't see your question until now. Frances, owner Dog Bark Park Inn
