Looking out over Venice on one side and the natural habitat of the Lagoon on the other, Ausonia Hungaria embodies the charm of a 110-year-old building with contemporary design interiors, at the perfect intersection between a sumptuous past and the latest lifestyle trends. The early 1900s Liberty style and the precious polychrome ceramics of the facade merge with the refined interior design by Simone Micheli’s unique architectural concept and with the external covering realized by the eclectic British artist Joe Tilson, creating the most unexpected 5-star luxury hotel in Venice Lido. Surrounded by astonishing art and by a sense of freedom and nature immersion, Ausonia Hungaria gives life to an exclusive experience to enjoy relaxing moments and discover authentic flavours.

Our original stay was cancelled due to Covid and we were provided with a voucher. From the first email to the hotel until we checked out each and every member of staff was helpful, friendly and on hand to assist.
The hotel is spotless, rooms well equipped, massages available in the basement, ( approx £70 for 60 minutes), bar area beautiful, beach a five minute walk, ferry stop five minutes in the opposite direction. Swimming pool with ample beds with drinks and food served.
The hotel is on the Main Street surrounded by restaurants, bars and shops.
Transfers via the public ferry to and from the airport depart from each location at five minutes to the hour and the cost was 27 euro for a round trip. Ferry to various islands depart regularly and are simple to use.
The hotel advertised a private beach however this was closed, as we were out of season. We used the blue moon beach club which was 18 euro for two beds and parasol. It had a lovely little restaurant and the hotel provided us with towels for our trip.
WiFi was a bit temperamental and the beer a touch warm, but apart from that perfecto 👌

My wife and I enjoyed a truly fantastic stay at the Ausonia Hungaria.

From my experience, this was truly a 5 star experience from a 4 star hotel. From start to finish, we were taken care of by a team of professional and attentive staff and I must commend the Hotel Management.

The hotel itself is stunning, refurbished with wonderfully maintained gardens and an extensive partially covered front terrace which extends into an additional seating area for breakfast and dinner. In the evening, this terrace becomes a chillout bar with beds and loungers allowing you to fully relax and forget all about life's worries.

The Swimming Pool area is secluded, clean and well maintained with a small area for lunch. The Waiter who looked after the pool was very friendly and provided a great drinks service based on an electronic messaging system which each lounger is equipped with.

The Breakfast menu was just awesome and such good value for what you get. Included as standard was a basket of pastries & donuts, a plate of meats & cheese and a plate of fruit and fresh juice. You could then have the option of ordering eggs however you wanted them, with an additional optional extras like salmon.

The room and hotel decor are modern-chic, all finished to a high standard containing a number of nifty features such as an integrated flat TV that rises out of the foot of the bedframe like a submarine periscope!

Although the hotel is based on the lido part of Venice, for my wife and I it was worth the additional 20 minute boat trip to get to Venice because you get more bang for your buck compared to the other more vaunted and expensive 5 star hotels located in Venice.

I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Venice, and we will most definitely return again.

Thank you once again for making our stay such an enjoyable one, and keep up the good work!

Arrived for 3 nights on water taxi from the main station, easy check in. Then we were given the history of the hotel on route to our room which was interesting.

Room was spacious and contemporary and the bed was nice and comfortable.
Plenty of space for putting away clothes.

The pool and area is good for relaxing and no issues with sun beds.

A very nice bar area outside and a lot of choice from wines to cocktails.

The breakfast is complementary and it is excellent. I don’t normally comment on breakfast but it comes with a great arrangement of fruit, hams and pastries all on separate dishes and well presented. You can also order a freshly cooked dish eg scrambled eggs and salmon.

The staff are very professional, very helpful and friendly and nothing seems too much trouble.

Location is great in the centre of the Lido so cafes and bars around to relax from a busy sight seeing day on the St Marks area with all the hustle and bustle.

We would very highly recommend a visit and stay

Spent four days in Venice, staying on the Lido was a good decision. The hotel was charming, service good, breakfast excellent. We enjoyed evenings on the quirky terrace, the pool is well maintained and welcome after a day sight seeing. Ideal location for vaparetto.

2 nights here in a room that more than met our expectations ! From arrival the reception was 5 star ... a lovely cold drink while waiting for our check in and key and personally shown around the hotel by a very professional and friendly member of staff pointing out the design and features of the building and hotel . Our luggage was taken up to the room and it was perfect . The massive bed was ultra modern and the most comfy bed I think I have ever experienced in a hotel ! The room was stunning and pristine ! Air con was superb ... robes , slippers, minibar and lovely bathroom tho a tad unprivate as you could see the toilet from the bed through semi see through door ! We did have a laugh about that so just be aware that all is on view ! The staff were exceptional and especially the lovely waitresses at breakfast and the bar steward who attended the private pool serving drinks and was always friendly and ready for a chat . We loved the modern pool and surroundings. All in all I really wish we had booked to stay for longer . We felt really special there and had a superb time . Well done to all staff . Amazing !

When we arrived we were given a tour of the hotel. It was refurbished in recent years, beautiful salons and terraces to dine and chill out on. Very easy to imagine times past and visitors from Venice and further afield being there. The bedrooms in contrast are light, spacious and contemporary in design. The pool area is a haven and perfect for an hour or so after a day in Venice. We had a rainy day during our stay and opted for a massage in the spa and dinner in the hotel. Everything was excellent but what really makes this hotel a success are the staff. They, more than anything, are responsible for the lovely atmosphere that permeates throughout.
The bar closed at 11 pm which made a nightcap after dinner in Venice a bit of rush at times.
We arrived on an evening flight and the hotel organised a private water taxi transfer from the airport. A fabulous start to our trip seeing Venice lit up by night and well worth the price.
I’m looking forward to staying there again in the future.

The staff is incredible. The room super comfy, clean and modern. The design is spectacular. The hotel offers a personal trainer for 45 min, we met Veronica, a super trainer who gave us a Hit session and a meta training session💪🏼🏃🏻‍♀️🙌🏼 She helped us to keep the balance between awesome pasta & wine and morning dopamine & fat burning 💆🏻‍♀️

I have stayed in numerous 5 star hotels but this one tops the list! The staff was extraordinary- each one was so welcoming and accommodating, even to our special needs. Stefania was especially helpful. Room was very nice, lovely pool if small, small fitness room did the trick. Spa was special.
5 minutes to vaparetto to Venice. 5 minutes to beach. Great breakfast too!
(I couldn’t wait to write this review and sing their praises.)

Lovely hotel on the Lido in a nice neighbourhood with lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Very clean and modern rooms and great rooftop views and an amazing breakfast on offer. Only 15 mins by boat to the centre.

The spa was also on offer but not the best and the massage we received was not of the expected standard even though the staff tried their best and were really pleasant

An incredibly calm and well managed hotel. I’m really pleased that I chose to stay here in Lido rather than Venice which is only a 15 minute ferry ride away. With the hotel pool and the beach 5 minutes away you get two types of holiday in one.
