We arrived at 10.00 am, and was told our rooms were ready. Result! Clean sheets, clean room, the Lido is a five minute walk away and a really handy place for the airport and the vaporetti that can take you anywhere. We were told that the cafe on the corner would give us breakfast, and lo and behold, we just ordered coffee and helped ourselves to fresh warm croissants. They knew we had come from the hotel, but it was a friendly bar, full of locals. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Don't go there if you're fussy and want five star treatment. This is a budget hotel.

Lovely and helpful staff, clean room. 5 minutes walk to Vaporetto station, 10 minutes walk to the beach. Next time in Venice, we will book this hotel again.
Due to Covid 19 there was no breakfast service, but there is a nice coffee in the same building with fantastic espresso, freshly pressed orange juice, pastry....
We stayed in room 36, very quiet, beautiful street view, historic elevator. Enriched our visit!

This was our third stay in Hotel Cristallo. Excellent location: very convenient for the Santa Maria Elisabetta (Lido) boat stop. And lots of restaurants, shops and cafes nearby. This is a very peaceful place to stay, well away from the hurly-burly of Venice. And so easy to get to, by Alilaguna boat from the airport. Our room was very comfortable: quiet and air-conditioned. Extremely good value. Decor and furnishings are all a bit tired. Great if all you want is a basic no-frills hotel. Highly recommended.

Our family stayed there last week. This a a charming hotel in an excellent location. It is on the main street, close to all the usual shops, cafes, restaurants and supermarket. About 5 minutes from the beach. The local water bus is about 3 minutes walk. The staff were extremely helpful and gracious. Rooms were clean, spacious and well serviced. Air conditioning worked excellent. Rooms were serviced daily. We would highly recommend this hotel. Lido offers the best of both worlds, sun holiday and city break (Venice).

We stayed here on the Lido for a couple of days . The hotel is well located for the beach, restaurants and water bus stop. The hotel is old fashioned but it is very clean and the rooms are light and airy . Breakfast is taken at the bar below and was lovely and convenient. It is really excellent value for money and I would definitely book again .

We have just stayed at the Cristallo, 3 girls on a trip. Was very pleasantly surprised.
Great location. Nice and clean. Absolutely lovely, helpful staff.
For the price we paid I was not expecting much at all, but it was well worth the price.
It’s nothing fancy, just basic, but can’t fault it al all and would stay again

I have stayed in the hotels for 2 nights in Sep. The room is spacious and everythings are spotlessly clean. The day-time receiptionist was extremely helpful. He gave us map, directions, recommendation for food etc and spoke very good English. The location is great. Less than 5 min walk from the ferry pier. And the best thing is, you won't be getting lost in Lido, particularly when you are carrying big luggages.

Things to remind:
Receptionist at night don't speak very good English. There are bars next to the hotel. The room facing the street can be very noisy at night. So, try to ensure to get a room facing back street. If you want to turn on the AC, you have to ask the receptionist to turn on the central power first.

The Hotel Cristallo is on the Lido's main street and provides a great place, at good value to stay in Venice. Our room was, large, very clean and quite. Breakfast is a good buffet and the hotel staff are friendly and very helpful. The hotel owner has some great recommendations for places to eat. We followed two of them and had great meals and reasonable prices, with the locals.

Highly recommend this hotel, for those who want to see Venice, but stay away from the crowds of San Marco. It is an easy walk from the boats and easy to get to from the airport.

We stayed at the Cristallo for three days in May. At a cost of only £55 per night per room, this hotel was fantastic value for money.

Excellent for its two star rating, the rooms were very spacious - ours had a balcony - with modern bathroom. The furniture and carpet were a little tired but the room/sheets/towels etc were all spotlessly clean. The buffet breakfast was varied and plentiful and the staff were very friendly and heplful and spoke good english.

Great location for those who want to stay away from the busy centre of Venice this hotel is only 2-3 minutes stroll up the main street from the vaporetto station. From here it is less than a 10 minute boat ride to St Marks square.

Would definitely stay again.

This hotel is just perfect for a Visit to Venice and The Lido. It is ideally situated 5 minutes easy walk to the vaporetto station and 5 minutes in the other direction is a lovely beach. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are spacious and fitted out nicely with traditional furniture. We had a very nice view from the balcony along the boulevard. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very good too with a good selection of cold cuts, cheeses, yogurts, breads and pastries and unlimited lovely teas and coffees. The hotel is right on the doorstep of several restaurants and bars but we also used the supermarket Billa which is 2 minutes walk along the road and bought hot foods, salads, breads etc from there. Billa also has a good range of inexpensive wines. If you go to Venice I would advise buying a pass for the vaporetto. We bought 3 day passes for 35 € and it worked out very well as we were able to hop on and off the boats all day making it easier to get around as much as possible. The only thing I would have changed at Cristallo was it would be improved if the rooms had a fridge and tea making facilities but it is still a lovely old fashioned hotel that I would readily go back to. Great value for this stunning location.

We took a shuttle bus from the airport and then took the public vaporetto line that went straight to Lido. It is a short walk from the main vaporetto terminal to the hotel. It does take awhile to get there, but it is worth it. There are other options, but this was easy enough for us.

what is the most economical way to get from the airport to the hotel please?
Answer from Suunytimes
Essex110 contributions88 helpful votes
It depends which airport you are flying into. If you are using the airport that Ryanair fly (Treviso) into I do not recommend you use this hotel. You will have to get a bus, about 1 hour 15 minutes, think it was about 12 euros per person each way and 2 different vaparettos. With luggage it is difficult and time consuming not to mention expensive as the vaparetto is not cheap for tourists. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from the vaparetto stop. I believe it is a lot easier to use the other airport.

Sorry I'm late. Take the Lido vaperetto from outside the station. When you arrive at the Lido walk straight ahead and the Cristallo is about 150 metres on your left. Buy a 3/5 day water bus ticket which you can use anywhere on the system. Saves a fortune. Lido to Piazza San Marco is €15 return

I am travelling from Milan to Venice. What is the best way to reach to your hotel?
Answer from Mary C
Vichy, France76 contributions36 helpful votes
If you want to stay on the Lido, keep right at the end of the causeway and instead of parking, you can take your car on a ferry over to the Lido. The Cristallo have spaces in a car park nearby, but you should ask in advance to be sure.

I never saw anywhere that you could store bags but where you get off the boat it is quite busy and buses stop here also so there might be somewhere there. The hotel has a tiny wee reception area but might have a room to store your luggage, email them and ask they were very nice people. Enjoy
