This hotel is right on the beach and you can choose to book a private cabana or a sun lounge and umbrella from the Bagno Marconi next door. We opted for the sun lounges and what a wonderful stay we had.The staff here are wonderful and their attitude towards their guests is to be commended. The breakfast is also very good. I will return to Venice and will stay here again.Thank you to all at Hotel Petit Palais,I had an unforgettable time in Venice.

A fantastic hotel!

The hotel is in a quiet location next to the beach.

On entering the hotel we were met with modern and clean decor and the friendliest welcome from the staff.

The rooms are spotlessly clean and had all we needed for a relaxed and comfortable stay.

The beds are very comfortable, we slept very well both nights.

A big thank you to the staff who are at the heart of this hotel. As mentioned before, the welcome was delightful.

The reception team told us about the island, transport and recommendations for local restaurants. We were also welcomed with a cold drink (we really appreciated this as it had been a long day of travelling).

The breakfast was fantastic, a big range of foods and I really enjoyed trying chestnut honey for the first time, delicious. The team again had clearly worked hard to create such a delicious offering of food.

We will definitely be returning.

Thank you for a wonderful stay.

A great place to spend some time in Venice . The reception staff was extremely helpful. They helped us with may useful informations. Thank you!
The room was small but comfortable, but the bed was large (and comfortable). We received cocktails on the day of our arrival. The breakfast was great, with lots of choises and good coffee. Overall a great experience, hope to come back.

When we checked in with our travel group, we were already disappointed that it was quite a bit down the Lido, but the hotel seemed modern so were thought it would be okay. Boy were we wrong.

The room seemed okay, except for the huge pillar right in front of you, as you walked in the door. Ummm, okay?!?!? Our room faced the street and ALL night all you heard was car, bus and motor bike pass by all night long. Who knew the Lido had traffic. There was a way to shut the outer shades, but it didn't shut out the noise.

When we woke up the next morning, there was NO HOT WATER!!!! The entire hotel was experiencing a problem and could not offer anywhere to shower. This was nothing, compared to the bug infestation that invaded two of rooms our other traveling companions had in their rooms. It wasn't until we were in the lobby complaining that I started to notice all the bug bites all over my body. Our room had bed bugs too!!!! This is how we started our day. When we returned that evening, the hotel ran out of food and could not serve out entire group. Try finding dinner on the Lido after 9pm. We never did.

The icing on the cake for all of this was the hotel did NOTHING to remedy the situation of no hot water, noises rooms, no food and BED BUGS. We got a "We're sorry, but there's nothing we can do." I informed them that I would be reviewing them poorly on Trip Advisor and all they continued on with their day

We hired a car and drove to the lido. Caught the ferry to the lido which was easy to find. We were advised by the hotel before our arrival that parking around the hotel streets is free and safe. Which was correct. Could of arranged parking for us at another hotel for a cost if we wished. The car was parked up for 3 days and never moved with no problems. On arriving a the hotel, the outside first impressions weren't good to be honest, sign was dated and faded. On entering the hotel it was clean and contemporary. The staff were excellent through out. We were told everything we needed to know without even asking. Given a map and all the bus stations, water bus stops, bus numbers, bus times, which restaurants to use and where to visit. We were told he saved us a good room and he was right. Over looking the beach with large opening windows which made it feel like you were outside and a balcony to the side. Rooms were air condtioned with the only downside being you only had one key card so couldn't leave the air con on when out of the room. Rooms were clean and modern, with fridge which was handy, good shower and safe. We were offered free beach towels if we wanted them. Breakfast was sufficient with breads, cereal, bacon, eggs, fruit, yogurt, croissants and fresh juice. Easily accessible to Venice, bus within 2 mins walk and waterbus to Venice every 10 mins or every 20 mins at night. Hotel advised us to buy a 24 hour ticket or more rather than just a single. Works out alot cheaper, you can get on any bus, waterbus or ferry with the same ticket, unlimited use within the time scale. Would recommend this hotel, especially for the price.

Do not look at the web site photos as this nothing like them. On arriving after a very early start from England we were shown to our room. We were given a room at the front of the hotel ground floor very small. This room had nowhere to sit you could not walk around the bed without bumping your toes which my husband did all the time.We could not open the windows as it was at ground level and on to the road. We immediately asked for another room but was told no as the hotel was full and we had booked an economy room to be fair we really did not realise this as we had booked on Expedia and assumed we were getting a nice room Where are these lovely rooms I don't know ? There is no outside space to sit which would be nice after a trip to go back to the hotel and sit outside all there is is a huge bike area where locals come park their bikes and go the beach, The location on the beach is excellent as after a day site seeing Venice it is nice to be able to have a dip in the sea. Be warned tho if you want a bed its 25 euros a day or 15 for a half, The hotel will provide towels but you have to pay for them unless you book the hotel on their website. The breakfast was just like any continental breakfast the hot food was cold but when we asked for some hot they obliged which was good.we were so disappointed in this hotel as we had read some fantastic reviews. I think because we were so cramped up in this tiny airless room it spoilt our view of the hotel when tried to talk to the man who showed us the room all he said well you have air conditioning not much good when you have asthma like I do.We managed as went to Venice every day on the boat truly magical and so good when you go by boat as you see it from different angles top tip buy 3 day passes from the local shop on the main street 40 euros per person and it covers you for bus rides into the port and the boat trips very good value . Nowhere to eat around the hotel but 10-minute ride into the port area and its buzzing with lots of restaurants and bars very good try the local drink spritzer it's like a cocktail better and cheaper than a Bellini so good we had a wonderful trip to Venice and enjoyed staying on the Lido I don't want to be too negative about the hotel but be warned it's not a 4 star hotel as advertised unless ratings for hotels are different than the U.K and ask about your room before you book as this, not a cheap hotel it's better to know before hand as this was a special birthday trip for us so disappointed this hotel

If you are looking for a comfortable base to explore Venice from, Petit Palais is a good choice. Located on the Lido beach you get to experience this different side of venice while being conveniently placed just a 15 minute walk from the Vaperretto stop to Venice. There is also a bus service which cuts down journey time. Service is good, staff polite and fit for purpose breakfast.
The rooms are very nice for a 4* European hotel and feature a balcony.
There is a nice pizza joint a few steps down the road which is good for getting a late night snack.

First the good news: great location overlooking the sea, friendly helpful staff.
Otherwise, not much else speaking for this small hotel:
The name already - somewhat misleading for a modern place without terrace or garden. The Beach in front of it is not „theirs“ (as the photos might insinuate) but of the neighboring hotel Excelsior, and would make you poorer by a minimum of 80€ a day. Luckily, there are cheaper alternatives nearby. No parking, not even for discharging one‘s luggage.
Inside, not much of a lobby. Tiny elevators. Narrow staircase.
The room has the standard amenities. Small shower. (The request for a bathtub made with the reservation was ignored. A different room was however offered the next day). No bathrobe. No written informations.
Breakfast standard. No fresh fruit or juice. Took more than 30 minutes in a crammed room to arrive - the room service was faster.
But then there is the view - and the sound of the waves at night! And at 5:00 in the morning, the beach-cleaning tractors of the Excelsior start noisily under your window...

We went for a 3 night short trip and found the hotel to be perfect for our needs. It is located right on the beach at the Lido and a 2 minute walk from the nearest shops, bars and bus stop. The bus took less than 10 minutes to get to the centre of the Lido near the St Maria Elizabetta boat stop and lots of amazing bars and restaurants.
The hotel was very clean and had really friendly staff. It had a small bar and only served a continental breakfast (no evening meals) but freshly baked pastries cereal, fruit and delicious Italian coffee was all we needed.
Our room had a balcony that overlooked the beach and the only negative was that the bathroom was small, but it was more than suitable for us.
My advice would be to buy a 3 day ticket which allows you to hop on and off any bus on the Lido and Water Bus (not a water taxi!) We definitely got value for money out of a 3 day ticket at 40 euro per person.

I belive the water bus runs until late (I know for sure that the first one is at 4:10 a.m>.)- If you were to miss it you could always hire a private water taxi, although they are more expensive-

Def get the pass at the airport or online for this public transportation as it will cover to and from airport, bus or water boats. The link below will give you more details. However, I would recommend buying this card up at the booth and not ordering online. Otherwise it is a little more hassle. ACTV is the line you want to look for

The beach hits belong to the 5* hotel next door and are silly expensive. Petit palis has a deal with the beach on the other side for sun beds and umbrellas. We found it strange but the beaches are private, but not always owned by the hotels. We really enjoyed though.
