This site has many caravans, some privately owned and rented out by owners, some rented directly by the site, some via Hoseasons. Possibly others. My review is based on a booking with Hoseasons via a voucher we had. We’d booked a ‘signature lodge’ with Hoseasons on this caravan site, the ‘lodge’ is most definitely a caravan, admittedly a very nice caravan! The ‘Signature Lodge’ is a Europa Willow caravan, on Europas website there are the caravan layouts and dimensions, really useful to us as we needed to find out which of our babies sleeping options would be best. Before we went I telephoned both Hoseasons and the caravan site, both expressed they didn’t l know what the model caravan was used for their ‘signature lodges’ (and I guess unable to walk the 2 minutes to find out for me)I found this out by looking at some of their caravans for sale and comparing photos. Apparently this caravan sleeps 8. We just the bedrooms for 4 people and not the pull out sofa bed so I can’t comment on that. However though it sleeps 8, if you had 8 of you 4 of your group would have to eat on their knees in the lounge or in two separate sittings as there is only 4 dining chairs and space at the table for 4. I’ve added photos of the kitchen equipment as no information given when booking. The tin opener only worked with a chopping action, we made sure we bought ring pulls after a first try! Only thing missing for us was a potato masher but a fork worker just as well. Apparently caravan sleeps 8 but only 7 plates and glasses provided. 8 bowls though. Only two of your party permitted to have a glass of wine as only 2 wine glasses ; - p Oven amazingly for a caravan is a double oven! With grill very good. On doing the washing up I hopefully asked the mother in law “what condition was it in to start with?” Hoping for a bit of burnt on… ‘spotless’ she responded, I hope I managed well enough with my scrubbing! Someone mentioned lack of a sweeper on Hoseasons reviews, I can confirm there is a sweeper in the caravan we had! Microwave, toaster and kettle provided. We usually look for options were bedding is provided and beds made up as we often arrive late. On Hoseasons website it stated this was provided. On arrival there was no bedding at all for any of the beds. Calling the reception it took a lot of explaining and I felt disbelieved, my guess is they thought we were trying to sneak in extra guests. A very nice man came with bedding and asked to look in the bedrooms to see what had happened, again my guess is checking for extra guests. Bedding left for our bed was a single flat sheet which didn’t cover the mattress and a single pillow case each. We did as best we could and used pillows without covers, flat sheet was always off in the mornings as not large enough for a double bed. Quite gross really, bedding is a necessity! I completely get the site will express they feel we should have told them but after the fuss getting any bedding at all we just wanted to get on. Duvets and pillows are very thin, if winter you might like to bring your own anyway or crack up the heating. Nice man blamed Hoseasons, but we’d still need some besting in my view no matter what notes had been left! The heating works very well once you discover the boiler in the small toilet! There are two toilets, one in the main bathroom and a second stand alone with a small sink and the boiler. For a caravan I was impressed with the shower, actually better than our one at home! Movable shower head, to enable a proper wash, being 5 months post c section and needs to keep scar area clean this was fantastic! A lot of caravan showers have tiny shower doors, as a larger person I had no issues here, lovely large door space and shower. Slightly odd selection of bathroom accessories, I really hope the body scrubbing brush provided is just decorative… but not needed when you’re already short on space. The hot tub is lovely in my view! One big round seat apparently for seating up to 5 in there. Lovely and warm even in October. Controls took a bit of experimenting with, the controls on the tub didn’t seem to match the pictures on the instructions given. There are some ‘rules’ I’ve added a photo of them. My only issue is that it’s very overlooked by your neighbours when they’re in their bedroom or bathroom. Challenging to chill out when directly in your eyeline is your neighbour in their bathroom - window is frosted but doesn’t hide much. We kept our bedroom curtains closed as we also had a bedroom view of the other sides hot tub and wanted to give them privacy. Photo taken through the window shows our neighbours outside space, to give an idea how close you are. Grass areas for each plot needs a bit of a re-think, next doors kids enjoyed a morning game of football, bouncing the ball off our caravan. Not their fault, just badly positioned grass area just outside our bedroom window. Nice bbq and outside seating though I can’t comment too much as was too cold to sit out in October when we visited. It was a little disappointing both our neighbours in seemingly the same caravans had a nice balcony outside area and French windows from the lounge. I love my cuppa tea outside in the morning but our front outside access was out the door and steps were you could wave at family in the lounge. Maybe request to not have 513 but either of the other neighbouring caravans as they seem better. Signage around site could be better, we couldn’t find the access to the beach the first night. Security is attempted by a car registration system but on multiple occasions we had people waiting for us coming out and drove after us. Hoseasons advertise there is a swimming pool, there is but it’s a ‘hidden extra cost’ we didn’t bother with it after finding out. Lovely location, plenty of walking in the area.

Room Tip: Ask for caravan 512 or 514 rather than 513 as this doesn’t have a French windows.

Great week away here with the family! We had booked the luxury caravan which came complete with hot tub and outside furniture. The caravan itself was fully equipped and fit 7 of us comfortably. The master bedroom mattress had seen better days and just a quick call to reception, they came and swapped it over. The outside area was brilliant. Hot tub was checked daily by pool staff. Short walk to the beach and shops. Some of the activities are next door, which is nice and swimming could be booked for when you wanted. The shop was very handy and reasonably priced. The launderette was handy also, coat roughly £4 per wash. Park was great for kids. The only negative would be there is only one bin and depending where you are on site it's a bit of a walk which isn't great if you have a few bags. Overall fab little caravan holiday. Can't wait to return!

The caravan was lovely, spacious and in a fantastic spot, although there were literally no baking trays for the oven so we couldnt cook anything in there. We were on the edge if the site so had easy access on /off the site. There isn't alot of green space on the site that we noticed, nowhere to kick a ball or play bat and ball etc with the kids. The swimming pool, although we were told it was complimentary as we were on the park we still had to pay. It cost £24 for the 4 of us for 2 x 45 min sessions. The problem with this is there are only 3 changing rooms? So everyone gets out at the same time (on one of the occasions there were 3 families in the pool ll with 2 adults and children) where were we all supposed to get changed? The tiny changing rooms wouldn't fit 2 adults and 2 children in. Which meant people were literally stood around waiting to use a changing room. It would make more sense to stagger the entry and exit times by 5/10 mins then at least noone is stood around freezing, wet through, waiting for a room. The lifeguards....although most wee friendly, chatty etc, they literally walked around the pool couple of times, stood at the side for 5 mins then swapped over. The clubhouse we literally went in twice, once to go to the soft play, which is OK, the other to book swimming. It was just overloaded with tables, we didn't order food or even have a drink here as we already knew the prices were extortionate! There is knightleys fair around the corner probably about 10 min walk. Brilliant for kids, there's a couple of bars, arcades and a chippy round there too. Well worth a visit. Overall we had a lovely stay, the site is clean but a maybe a few to many caravans...the owners make themselves known too! They're friendly enough but make it clear they own their vans.

Enjoyed a lovely stay at number 43 for a 3 night bank holiday break with family. The caravan is spacious and well equipped with everything you need, plenty of cooking equipment, smart tv, games, books, Nintendo wii. Added bonus that you only need to take towels as bedding is provided! The caravan is kept very clean and tidy and there is a nice little decking area to sit out and enjoy a brew in the morning. Close to fun fair, arcades, clubhouse, on site shop, swimming pool. Short bus ride or drive into Rhyl and 30 min drive to Llandudno.

Stayed in caravan 494 close to shop and entertainment. Caravan was spotless with added extras like own wifi ps4 and TV in one of the double bedrooms. Close to buses both ways number 12 15 mins to Rhyl 1hr 20 mins other way to Llandudno. Jakes 2 mins outside gate is good but gets busy. O site swimming needs to be booked in advance £4 adults £2 children of any age. Enough to do in the area if the good old British weather was kind. Have booked for next march/April which says it all

Absolutely fantastic holiday. We've been in few parks around the area but have to say that Golden Gate was by far the best we've been to. The place is spotlessly clean and the staff actually take pride in keeping it that way. The caravan we had was brilliant, everything we needed for a relaxing stay. It's the little things that made it feel like home, there was a hoover, an iron & ironing board, even a potato peeler. Again, the caravan was well cleaned before our visit and all the beds & bedding was fresh. There's two parks next door to each other (the other called Whiteside) and you can use the facilities of each park. The beach bar, Jake's, is a lovely place to sit in the sunshine 😎😁. My only gripe would be the arcades for the kids are a bit basic & small. My little one got bored of it quite quickly. Luckily, there's a funfair and arcade about a mile away. All in all, a great time had by all of us and we will definitely be back.

We came out of season so not lots to do for the kids but the caravan park was lovely and quiet. Caravan itself was clean and very comfortable, it was beautiful, sleeps 5 people comfortably and had a shower/bath as well as an en suite toilet/sink. Pool facilities and 2 bars, and a lovely little park for the kids. Would love to go in season as it looks like there’s lots to do.

Stayed here for 4 nights with my partner. Upon arrival the receptionist seemed a little off just said here is your keys your caravan is that way. So we walked around looking for our caravan when we got here it was lovely nice and clean and what we expected so we settled in and decided to walk to the clubhouse for a drink first and last time we did . Over priced drinks 5.40 for a pint of lager .and over priced food only take card aswell but the chippy is vile and only takes cash maybe if you put prices down in clubhouse it wouldn't be so empty in there... .. we had to call security to because the workers on site had a caravan over from us and they were so noisy and swearing across the caravan site lucky for them we have no kids but security came out and sorted this straight away we had no problems afterwards. If your looking for a day out Llandudno is only 45 minutes away on bus and stops right outside site ..

Wouldn’t recommend this place, came here with 3 children club house doesn’t have any entertainment for children just a few games of bingo for adults and a soft play area for the kids. The weekend we came they had an ‘owners only’ night in the club, my children were bored and asking why we were unable to go to the club when they could see other children going in and staff were dressed up as characters outside. The site it’s self looks lovely but I wouldn’t recommend bringing children here.
