Detailed Reviews
Visiting Pelion this place is just perfect, so nice hosts all so clean they really take care of everything you can feel queen or king especially at the breakfast welcome. A very rich breakfast also eith traditional home made things. The owner can tell you a lot of history is you wish, can recommend nice spots and things to do in the area. During summer after a day trip you can relax enjoying the sun going down at the swimming pool. A very big relaxing living room, spaceful rooms and even in the bathroom all products in the shower even hair conditioner. Also you can walk to the villages around. For us just a fantastic place with an interested past.... certainly going back !

We are a family of 5 (3 teenagers 13, 14 and 16)and Edward made us feel very welcome and 100% at home from the moment we arrived until we left. The hotel itself is an old mansion that he has rebuild and has cleverly retained all of its old charm. The rooms are comfortable with fantastic modern ensuite bathrooms which include amazing power showers... just what you need after a long day hiking around the beautiful countryside.
The mansion is just a 1 minute walk from the main square with a great taverna, running spring and glorious church.
The upstairs sitting room is setup in the ottoman style with cushion seats near the windows which offer wonderful views down the valley. It is also a great place to sit and relax on the cool autumn evenings and play cards or backgammon.
Breakfast was a large variety of treats and more than you could wish for.
Be prepared to be woken up in the morning with a lovely dawn chorus of the birds and chickens in the village.
Pinakates is the first of the quaint villages (and probably the least touristy) on the road to Tsagarada.
We only came for a long weekend and were all sorry to be leaving.
We will definately be back in the spring!
Thank you Edward for a very relaxing and enjoyable stay!

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful house and village. The house and rooms have been very carefully restored so that you can enjoy the authentic charm of a traditional old house in comfort. Edward and his wife are charming and informative hosts. Edward was very kind to us and his wife cooked wonderful breakfasts. We will definitely return.

We spent two nights in this beautifully restored traditional stone house in Pinakates.
We have had the good fortune to stay in some wonderful places during our three week tour of Northern Greece but we all agreed that" The Little Swallows" topped them all! An amazing guest house with a lovely host. Our only regret is that we could not stay longer.

All aspects of the stay were excellent. From the welcome - to the rooms, to the little touches such as home made vissino and tsipouro in the room. The host and staff are all very friendly and providing for the guests needs. Mr Edward gave us some great recommendations for days out from his encyclopaedic knowledge of the area (and his tips on how to not get lost!) - and we thoroughly enjoyed the stay.

What a leave! We stayed there during the storm in Pillion. No electricity and no water for 4 days, but we were so happy that we were staying with Ward and Wies. We felt safe in our robust B&B room, we were incredibly well looked after by Wies and by Ward on time and reassured. They did everything they could to make us feel comfortable and we lacked nothing: always fresh fruit and water in the room as well as a nice alcoholic drink. We were also treated to a joint dinner which was super fun and made us forget the rest, thank you for that!

We came here in August last year and I’ve began to dream about going again this year. The location is superb, the staff and rooms were amazing and Eduard and his wife were brilliant hosts. I spent a lot of time in and around the pool and it was really beautiful, clean and quiet. There are a few places within walking distance were you can get food and coffee (we tried Pileas and Anna Na Ena Milo and they were great). Can't wait to go back again to Xelidonakia and Pinakates ♥

Just back from a wonderful trip to Greece, we can only confirm the many previous positive comments: Ward and Wies immediately give their guests a real "welcome" and "home" feeling. A few examples, without wanting to be complete: the warm welcome the first day, the delicious breakfasts every day, the spacious and pleasant rooms, nice pool that could offer a real refreshment during these hot days, nice tips and recommendations from Ward, the many work behind the scenes of Wies.... In short, the ideal place to explore and appreciate the beautiful Pilion.

+1
Spoiled every day with delicacies, extensive breakfast and extremely helpful Ward who let us discover the gems of Pinakates and around! No question was too much. The rooms are nicely cleaned and cleaned every morning. Arriving at the b&b was breathtaking... the photos only give half of what it was in reality! A refreshing dip in the pool was nice every day. Friendly welcome! We hope to be able to go back again someday!!

We had a perfect holiday here.
We received a warm welcome
..and that was the beginning.
We were immersed in the authenticity of their beautiful b&b which they themselves had restored with due attention to detail.
The nice breakfast and four hours of Wies, the tourist tips of Ward, drawn in detail and tips for restaurants, were TOP.
But we also enjoyed the entire accommodation...good beds, good fly windows, shutters ensured a good night's sleep.
The terrace and swimming pool with umbrellas and good sunbeds we enjoyed after a nice trip ....but equally well we had a whole salon available if the weather is bad...
Not to mention our drinks and fresh fruit in the room.
It became our home in Greece for 10 days.
The region is still authentic ...and that combined with the hospitality and concern of Wies and Ward gives us great memories.
Thank you Wies and Ward from us you get 20 out of 10!
