Stayed here for two nights as part of a tour, and complained to the tour operator after the first hour of being here. Cobwebs in the bedroom, soup for a pool, pictures of elephant torture in the dining room, tasteless and cold food, and staff who did not want to have you there. This was by far the worst place I have ever stayed. The only good things were a large garden to see birds and monkeys and the proximity to Udawalawa National park. If I could give 0 stars I would.

It’s ok - looks tired and run down. Kingsley, the manager seemed friendly. The lunch and dinner was a buffet style, not a lot of choice. The pool area was dirty and run down. Be careful when you order anything here, check the price. We had a buffet lunch and it was awful, the manager then charged us more then double what we would have paid anywhere else! Disappointing- they are suffering due to covid but should not overcharge customers because of this.

We stayed with 19 people, on a Sri Lankan cycling tour. The food was excellent. Management tight and appropriate. The safari well arranged and... enough elephants, haha. The rooms could use some upgrade, but the overall impression is: hospitality.

We really enjoyed our stay here... lovely big pool. Dinner breakfast and lunch wonderful.so friendly staff & very helpful. Big room with balcony clean rooms and great facilities.hotel saffari good so many animals see in tha udawalawa park..would definitely go back and recommend to stay here..

We visited this place to visit Udawalawe cos it’s about 10 minutes from the Park . The hotel it’s self was large and cos of Covid it was running with a handful of staff and we were shocked to hear that the chef had gone on leave and not returned for duty . The food needs to be improved cos the acting chef had charcoaled my grill chicken . The staff were stretched beyond their ability and they did their best to keep us happy . The plus point was the manager couriered two of our caps which we had left behind .

Firstly, the condition of the room, the room was spacious but it looked like that the windows were not cleaned since long time as cob webs and dust were all over the windows. There was a safe in the room but it was unable to use as it was locked when I was arriving in the room. I got a room which is closer to the road and I heard lots of noises until the midnight. There were rooms in the quieter area as well, If you are booking a room ask for room away from the road. Food served was really low in quality and there were very limited amount of food to select from. There's no menu for their restaurant, When I asked for menu, Their head chef just said that they only have limited items to cook. Only options for the lunch was, Fried rice, Pasta, Devilled chicken, Dhal Curry and Vegetable salad. These were the only items they had for the lunch service. Taste of the food was really unacceptable and they runout food in the buffet quickly and took ages to refill the food. Dessert options were really low and for the Dinner they just had Ice cream and Jelly to choose from. The shower at the pool ran out of water and it took more than 20 minutes to get it fixed. The hotel is located in a convenient location but the food and the room condition is very poor and could have enhanced with a good management.…

After Covid-19 We reopened the hotel with minimum Staff. we do not make it a factor in these shortcoming. it was busy day. we had only FIT bookings. due to the unexpected arrival of guest there may have been shortcomings in the preparation of the rooms. we accept that. We arrived at the hotel at 8.30pm to be told that the restaurant was no longer serving food, and then once they agreed to serve us food they told us there was no rice (which is part of 90% of the dishes). No rice in Sri Lanka, who would've thought haha! Service was not very good, reception staff messed us around regarding food. Rooms were okay but bathrooms had issues. Blocked sinks, blocked showers so water would not drain. Broken toilets. We had 4 rooms, and 3 out of the 4 had issues in the bathroom. I wouldn't recommend this place. The only thing that was half ok was the breakfast!

As we know ,we are your guests once we are entered your hotel from your front gate itself.your responsibility will be providing good service for us and you should since we pay for you. How bad your service quality and your disciplines on your guests. You might not have a star class hotel experience yet since you are saying that you are not serving outside items to your guests and that is the policy of all the hotels too. But you didnt serve us even water at our dining tables.Is that also your policy? This photo is another proble faced for us.since your staff not providing water ,my friend went to take some water glasses for their table until having dinner.For that few minutes a dog came and eat from the plates.is this also a policy in your hotel. As we discussed with Mr.Prabath ,the general manager of your hotel,he has agreed to bring liquor & chase from outside and he promised us to give a service person to serve them too.but he was not at the hotel in that night and morning he came.Then only your service goes smoothly. We had to go for your dish wash area becase there was no one to clear the glasses.Is this our fault. Please be humble atleast to apologize forthe inconvenience we faced.we had a miserable night in you hotel. The rooms without proper door locks in washrooms and cobwebs too. 21st feb 2020 we went to hotel nil diya mankada to our private get together they couldn’t manage our group properly and their room services are very careless because rooms were not clean and dustbins were not clean.there was a person who works in front desk.i uploaded photo about him.he don’t know how to talk with clients so its was very uncomfortable and terrible

Today i went Nil diya mankada hotel for our private get together party.we have already arrenged a cocktail and mocktail for the guests.But the hotel refused to serve those to the guests saying that they dont have enough staff to cater us.I myself have to serve all 80 guests either without changing my party dress code too. The experience at the hotel was terrible and complely dissatisfied. Though they promised previously to cater us,they refused to do so.. I had to went for dishwashing area too to dispense the glasses too.That area was very unclean and cats were there.i have attached photos too. My advice is to NOT TO BOOK THIS HOTEL EVEN FOR DINNING ..... This place is very dirty and unclean and zero staff service

Serving guests cocktails and mock tails are not allowed usually at hotel, only if the hotel permits it as was brought from your end.This is a policy for all hotels. Also going to the dish wash area is not permitted for non- staff personnel as it will be permitted for food poisoning law where we can sue as well.
