Our keys were left in an envelope with our name on it attached to a clip on the front door. No lights were on when we got there. No one was at the property. Had to fumble in the dark (pitch black) to find the light switches. Room was less than desirable - 2 floor choir loft and only way... More

This place was such a treat! Absolutely stunning! I had always wanted to stay at a B&B but had heard not so good stories. But now I cannot imagine ever staying in a hotel again. This place is beautiful. My family rented the entire Inn for my daughter's wedding. The owner Dave was amazing. He was available for any questions.... More

We had a guest stay here. First, this is a renovated historic church that has much to offer the area. The inside is incredible with a large spacious common room, stainglass windows, warm seating and hardwood floors. There is a common kitchenette. Our guest stayed two night and was fine with the accommodations. The proprietors are not on the premises... More

We stayed at the McGrady Inn for two nights in the Choir Loft. It is definitely the most unusual B&B we've ever stayed in. We didn't have any major problems, but there is definitely room for improvement. The Good: The building is an old church that has been converted into a B&B, and it has a lot of character. Generally... More

We stayed at the Inn this past April and had generally a good experience. My only complaint was the continental breakfast, generic cereal and bad Walmart muffins. I expected more. Anyways we liked it enough so we booked the Choir Loft for graduation weekend 2015. I received a confirmation email stating we were booked for May 8th and 9th 2015,... More

Did not enjoy my stay at all. Nothing was clean....not the room, the sitting area, the breakfast area....anywhere. I had to make my own coffee and the coffee pots were disgusting. Breakfast consisted of stale leftovers. Needless to say, I ate somewhere else. Nothing seems to be organized. No one is ever around so if you have a question, you... More

I booked the whole Inn by reserving 3 rooms for my wedding party & family. I received confirmation and everything. Two months later I received a phone call and they stated they accidentally booked someone else (and their entire wedding & reception) at the Inn! I was really upset. I booked the rooms 5 months in advance of my wedding... More

Spacious building and comfortable beds. The management was very friendly and the rooms and main floors were immaculate. I Would highly recommend this place for a reunion or gathering. Easy walking to the old downtown and university.

Although this building is conveniently located, it was the most bizarre place we've ever stayed at. No one was ever around....not the Inn manager or owner. The doors were always unlocked day and night which made me very uncomfortable. The rooms were not clean at all and there was nothing special about the room at all....very bland bedding. I was... This place is fantastic if you want to visit an EIU student, everything is walkable. The bathroom was kinda dirty, I think because a college student is the cleaning person, (and I think we all know how a teenage girl will clean... very lazily). But aside from the dirty bathroom this place is so unique it can't be passed up.
