Stayed at the Chicago Parthenon Hostel during a work-related trip to the States in mid-October. Found it to be a mixed experience with some postives and negatives listed below. Positives: - The price. At about £46 a night including tax for a private, non-ensuite room this is the cheapest place I'd found in the city. - Free breakfast. The restaurant...

Staff very helpful , not bad location to Chicago and cta where attractions are easy to find good toilets and shower facilities Got bed covers and pillow which was a bonus . Close to Walgreens . The wifi dips in and out though which could be an issue for some peeps. Breakfast was lovely and staff were helpful. Proper best...

This was my first time staying at a hostel and it was a great surprise. The staff was friendly and helped us with what we needed; the breakfast was good; the bedrooms and the toilletes/bathrooms were clean and confortable and there was very little noise. It was near subway and it was easy to get touristic atractions from the hostel....

This was my second visit to The Chicago Parthenon Hostel. I get a private room. Recommendation book directly do not book thru Hostels intl. I started on the 3rd floor a bit of a challenge as I age. There are steep steps and no elevator. They were kind enough to move me to the 2nd floor but I did not...

My boyfriend and I spent 3 nights here while out stay in Chicago. We booked a private double which basically only had the bed and a little dresser. The bathrooms didnt seem cleaned, the toilets didnt even lock. Other guests were loud, even late at night and early in the morning. The staff was nice and helped us a lot...

I had the worst experience. Booking was a nightmare I should have stopped there. NEVER EVER GO HERE! The person who booked my stay should couldn't care about any concerns I had. There was no accommodation and the website was not clear. There was zero effort to adjust the room I was in and they did not offer refunds only...

The location is great, near CTA UIC Blue Line, Bus route 60 and Bus route 8. a lot of food joints. close to the Sears Tower. A lot of activity in this area (Greek Town) The staff in there is not really friendly. Not kitchen (just a microwave, a fridge and a little table). The common area is small, there...

A great hostel for the price! Set in a great part of Chicago, plenty of cafes and bars around, and not too far from the city. Was about a 25 minute walk to the Lake, so will be a great place if you don't mind walking! Hostel itself was clean and simple. Stayed in a private room & it was...

For travelers who want to stay at an inexpensive hostel after a late night party, this is the best place. It costs more than other hostel's but it is in downtown and you save money if you are not travelling by your vehicle. Each room has 8 beds i.e. 4 bunk beds. You also get a locker, but you have...

My husband and I have been coming here for years because of the location, and price, but especially for the service from a top shelf staff. The breakfast is filling, the beds are new and you can't beat being so close to trains and local transportation to airports. Many attractions are also within walking distance of the hostel, and the...
