This is an older motel, built in 1959. It is right in the middle of things, It has free parking directly outside your door. It's older, well kept, and CLEAN. No frills, but definitely clean. The price is right just for a night of sleep. The beds are comfortable. The shower has great pressure and the temperature is easy to... More

Positives: location, free wi-fi, clean, comfortable beds, we were given extra pillows. Negatives: Very noisy intersection, no extras, room was very warm and we didn't have any AC for the first couple days. When we called again, the cooling had been turned on but it was very loud and really didn't cool the room. We had to have the windows... More

First the bad: Right on a very busy road, Chicago-style, and across the street from a lower-middle class bar to boot, there was little peace, or peace of mind, here. The security wall and cash-tray between us and the reception guy at 10:00 PM added to the feeling that this was not the safest neighborhood. In mid October it was... More

I have been to Chicago three times and have always stayed here. It is right in the middle of everything, you can walk to just about everything. The rooms are simple yet well furnished and smell clean. The staff is friendly and parking convenient.

I tried out this motel after my Chicago favorite raised their prices under new owners. This place is great if you have a car (as parking is free). It's a short walk to Andersonville with its many shops and restaurants. Had a very quiet room in the corner. The window actually opened. It was quiet. Breakfast was good. Rooms were... More

AC in room very weak Was ok for the overnight no frills stay which is what I was looking for. Location ok for quick in and out of the city. Lot of traffic issues roads closed blocked not their fault. Using energy-efficient lighting in rooms. Good for them. But made the room seem very dark and dim and dingy.

Convenient to my brothers house, several families stayed here for a family reunion. Great idea, we could walk to his house, the Edge Fest, and back. Clean and safe, comfortable if dated, sure it could use some warmth at reception but hey, it delivers what's promised. A great value.

Very dated, but well kept property. Kind is quaint including old fashion neon sign. Room is very basic, but clean. Staff friendly and helpful. TV channels poor and internet somewhat slow. 2 bus lines within 1 block radius. Good place to stay on a budget.
