I've found out that the washers and dryers are included in the price of the hotel. There is also laundry soap that you can push a button and have added. They recommended bringing some kind of softner or dryer sheets. The laundrette is on the 3rd floor.
For anyone concerned about this, the renovations are done and the restaurant has been open since June. It can get very loud and busy in there in the evenings, but the food is quite good. I really like the fish and chips.
