A classic older hotel with lots of character and charm. The room sizes were excellent and the views over the shore great.
The rooms provided everything you needed, however, if I was being ultra critical, they needed an overhaul and refreshing but this should not...More

Breakfast good
This is a beautifully stunning hotel. It had a very old-fashioned feel but with all the modern amenities you'd want and expect from a hotel. My friends and I got a good deal for the room but I'm assuming it's pretty expensive otherwise since it...More
The Drake Hotel lived up to its name for the most part. The decor has faded quite a bit. The staff do an "ok" job; however, compared to other hotels of this caliber they were not that attentive. The room was comfortable; but the bathroom...More
We stayed at the Drake due to a wedding in town. The cool thing abut the Drake is that is one of the last grand hotels of a bygone era and is listed as a historical property. The hotel has the vibe of a great...More

Over 400 stores pack the concrete along Michigan Avenue, the eight-block stretch known as Magnificent Mile. This area between Oak Avenue and the Chicago River is more a shopping paradise than a full-out neighborhood. For prime upscale shopping, this is the place to go. It’s busy, energetic, and packed with shoppers. You'll also find hundreds of restaurants and dozens of hotels, all on the mid- to high-end scale.

Some of the city’s most iconic buildings like the Wrigley Building, John Hancock Center and other architectural marvels define the magnificence of this neighborhood.
I have also seen this in Europe. It is a twin bed. Usually the two twins are pushed together and have a king sheet over it and a king comforter over that. The two twins usually share a king size head board.
