Stayed at the Drake and upgraded to a mini suite. It was absolutely fabulous! The decor and layout of the suite was impressive. It was like a small apartment. I felt special because next door to my room was the Princess Diana suite. I enquired and she actually stayed there when visiting Chicago. I enjoyed the nostalgia of seeing the...

I enjoyed staying at the Drake, the staff was very friendly and professional. We were in upgraded rooms with two queen beds and a couch with two bathrooms. The room was clean and the showers had good water pressure. The hotel bar was amazing and probably my favorite part. They can make a good Old Fashion and have an excellent...

Staying in Magnificent Mile

Neighbourhood Profile
Magnificent Mile
Over 400 stores pack the concrete along Michigan Avenue, the eight-block stretch known as Magnificent Mile. This area between Oak Avenue and the Chicago River is more a shopping paradise than a full-out neighborhood. For prime upscale shopping, this is the place to go. It’s busy, energetic, and packed with shoppers. You'll also find hundreds of restaurants and dozens of hotels, all on the mid- to high-end scale. Some of the city’s most iconic buildings like the Wrigley Building, John Hancock Center and other architectural marvels define the magnificence of this neighborhood.
