We had a wonderful time! The hotel is located at a great spot right in the middle of "chora" and with seaview. The owners were fantastic and one of them was actually cooking all cakes and pies for the breakfast and had painted all paintings that decorating the hotel's walls. The rooms were amazing as the hotel building is a...

Unfortunately,we saw the hotel online and the photos had nothing to do with the reality.the two rooms we saw were like dungeons with carpets..I can understand that it is the architecture of the building but still not worthy for the value of money! Also, the air-condition was too noisy and the bathroom really tiny! As for The owner, when we arrived...

This was the epitome of traditional Greece. Lots of blue and white. Fantastic sea views from the breakfast terrace. The breakfast was wonderful. Tarte tatin that tasted as thought it had been made by a master chef. The shower was tiny and a bit of a challenge but everything else more than made up for it.

Margarita hotel is possibly the best choice if you want to live in Chora, Kythera. It is in a quiet neighborhood, just under the main street of the village, a minute away from anything you might need (shopping, food, entertainment). The hotel itself is a renewed 1800's neoclassical building, with 2 great balconies where you can enjoy your coffee and...

Coming back after many years of absence we were happy to see that the Margarita is still under the same management, and remains a beuatiful old archontiko in an amazing location. The rooms could definitely do with a general renovation, especially the bathrooms, but the location, views, breakfast and hospitality are all excellent.

The best thing about this Hotel is that it is on the lovely island of Kythera. I staid in the Athena room which was very quaint. However, the lock was broken and I always need someone to help get into my room. The beds and pillows are hard. Forget about breakfast. No wifi and sometimes there were several other guests...

Dear Sir, We are sorry that the Hotel Margarita did not fulfil your expectations. We would like to stress the specific circumstances of your stay, as you came right at the time we were reopening the house after the winter, with a Group occupying all the rooms. As often for houses by the sea, locks need greasing after the winter,...

Well renovated and maintained in the centre of the main town on Kythera, Hora (Kythera). No wifi but do provide a PC with internet connection in reception for general use. No TV either but it is nice to get away from everything and Hora is a lovely old town with very little tourism and a quiet and pleasant place to...

Perfect location but terrible rooms. Poor selection of breakfast, you make your own coffee, which would be fine if i was not paying 90 euros/night. No wifi and tv, which does not leave many options for in-room entertainment. But also not soundproof rooms, so you can hear everything. Sheets and towels are clean, but totally worn out, with holes etc....

Dear Madam, You mention the quality of the location. Indeed, we are located in a very nice area of the village, with magnificent views, and the house is a traditional house built in 1840 and transformed into a hotel a few years ago. This two factors explain the relatively small size of the rooms and a price which is probably...

Stayed here in October 2011 for ten nights with partner and a friend. Low season of course so I cant say how things are in other seasons, but it was very good value. Chora town is beautiful, and is actually a township rather than given over to tourists. The room we stayed had a small porch, so pleasant to sit...
