We spotted Holly Cottage whilst staying in Pilsley earlier this year and decided to book there for our visit to Chatsworth for the Christmas market. It was definitely a great choice. Our room - The Blue Room - was cosy, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Sarah goes the extra mile to ensure your comfort - I have never seen such a...

I went for the weekend with my sister. We travelled up from the south-east on Friday evening and the journey was horrendous, it took almost 6 hours (we have done it in 4 hours before now) so that we didn't arrive until just before midnight. Despite this, Sarah waited up for us and welcomed us on arrival. We stayed in...

I spent four nights here in October. My room was spacious and rich in amenities: bottled water, chocolate biscuits, hair dryer, portable heater, extra towels, and best of all, books about Chatsworth. The room was cleaned daily. Breakfasts were wonderful: a whole pot of coffee, great porridge, and eggs fresh from the hen! I didn't have a car, and Sara...

Highly recommended cosy B&B cottage close to Chatsworth House for visiting the grounds and for cycling the Monsal Trail. There's a great pub on the same street for the evenings. Bakewell is about a 5 minute drive. Sarah the owner was very welcoming and cooked a superb breakfast everyday. Really enjoyed our stay here.

We arrived late in the day at 8.30 pm due to massive delays on the m25 round London. We were met by sarah, the owner and postmistress of the village.( post...

I stayed in the delightful twin room in Holly Cottage for a business trip. I had a lovely room with a view over the dainty garden. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were fine. There was a little kettle to make any of a good variety of teas and coffee with biscuits and chocolate buttons - what a treat....

My sons bought my husband a fly fishing trip on the Chatsworth Estate and we booked 2 nights at Holly Cottage on the 29th and 30th June and duly paid £30 deposit. We were told we could arrive either before 12 or after 6 due to the owner's shop commitments. Unfortunately due to heavy rain the fishing was cancelled. I...
