Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

WOW! What an amazing stay, the customer service from all staff is outstanding. The 2 sea view rooms we had were fab, spacious, clean couldn't ask for anything else. The food in the restaurant and drinks were also first class. We had the best time and will definitely be back. Thank you.

Hotel's Favourite
We were so lucky to spend our first night here at The Roslin and we talked about it our entire vacation. Everything about this hotel was perfection, from the friendly and very helpful staff, the thoughtful and intentional decor to the incredible drinks and gorgeous food. We wish we would stayed longer. I can assure you that the photos in this review do not do the property justice. The view from our room was outstanding. Having a little patio to enjoy before we headed downstairs for dinner was so relaxing and a great way to wind down after a long day of travel. Dinner was exceptional. I am sure we ordered almost everything or wished we had. Our server, Charlotte, was fabulous. She made excellent recommendations for dinner, had a delightful personality and truly was part of our overall experience. We had ordered the shrimp cocktail and the burrata to start and both were a great way to start our meal. Very tasty and left you wanting more! We all ordered cocktails - raspberry mojito's, watermelon martini's and pina colada's... they were absolutely delicious and we continued to order these throughout our meal. Our main course was the best meal we had in the 7 days we were in England. We ordered the chicken caesar salad, the seafood capellini and the pork belly salad. The portion sizes were large, so tasty and left us wanting to order more but we were too full. I ended my dinner with some sort of chocolate martini. With the whipped cream and chocolate I felt like a kid again. It was fun, delicious and just the right amount of alcohol. After dinner, we changed and walked the beach for a little bit. It was such a quiet town and so relaxing. It was a fabulous was to spend the rest of the night and a stone's throw from the hotel. When we returned, we had one more drink at the restaurant and went to bed. We were so relaxed when we retired to our room. We shared in some champagne and hand made chocolates over looking the sea view's before calling it a night. My husband is all about the shower's in hotel rooms and The Roslin did not disappoint. The rain shower head had the perfect amount of pressure and did get hot (which is what we love). The products that they have in the room (shampoo, condition etc) were excellent, smelt fabulous and did seem to be cheap. All in all - this hotel is by far one of my favorite's and gave us the kick start to our vacation that was needed after travelling over night. Breakfast in the morning was FABULOUS! Honestly - their breakfast was so great, it ruined breakfast for everywhere else we stayed! The sausage was incredible and I loved how everything was served, with the toast and tiny jams etc. Our server, Lea, was literally the best. She was great to chat with and was beaming with positivity and lots of energy. We loved chatting with her! Like their dinner service, they have breakfast totally figured out. We absolutely ADORE this place and truly do not think you could go wrong staying here. In my opinion, it was a fabulous stay for adults/couples who want to feel a little bougie and well taken care of.

First time we have stayed at the Roslin Hotel - we loved it - we booked two really lovely rooms - I won't say which ones in case you book them when we want them! - the staff were exceptional - could not do enough to make our stay perfect. Even though the weather was appalling we still had a great time - would have been even better had we been able to use the outdoor facilities. Christmas decorations were lovely and made the hotel feel very welcoming and homely. It did get very busy on the Sundat afternoon but settled down as the day progressed. We have already booked again and will probably continue to do so. A real gem !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I took my sister to lunch at this fabulous hotel yesterday. To say that it looked like a Christmas wonderland is an understatement, It was pure class, beautiful deep red decorations, adorning everywhere. The food in the restaurant was first class. We had the festive menu, which was so reasonable at £35.00 per head. I can honestly say it was the best food I have eaten for a long time. Service was first class, and I would like to mention LEE, the waiter who went above and beyond yesterday. He was very attentive but not intrusive, and made sure that we had the best possible time. He is a real asset to the place.

The hotel itself was nice. We travelled for an night for my wife's birthday. The room was over a refrigeration unit and impossible to sleep as so noise was constant. When I complained in the morning and said I cant be the only person who has complained about this room - the receptionist just smiled and so oh well I will pass that on. Totally unacceptable, no apologies, resolution or refund, spoilt our total experience. Please avoid room 106 if you need to sleep!

Held our fundraising dinner at The Rolin Beach Hotel. All the Christmas decorations were up and the hotel looked beautiful. The food was first class. Lovely Butternut Squash soup and a Bakewell to remember. All of the staff were really helpful, providing everything to meet our needs. Thank you Sharife for looking after us all night and providing a genuine personal touch.

Overpriced for a 4 star with lots of issues that need resolving. Shame as we had eaten in the restaurant regularly but wouldn’t stay over again. Room far too hot, air con broken, fag butts left all over patio and kept awake till 1.30am by guests shouting in the room above and then not dealt with by the assistant manager.
