WOW!! What an amazing home to be a part of. Sue & Bruce make you feel part of the family every minute you are there. The rooms are clean and well appointed. The grounds are peaceful and offer many options from sitting out back enjoying a river view or laid back in the hot tub to a refreshing swim in...

We has stayed here years ago and were pleased to find Bruce and Sue are taking such good care of the historic mansion. If you like photography then this is a fine place to stay to capture Ohio River images. Towboats, wildlife and some good bird life a short walk. The breakfast was good as always.

A beautiful old mansion that has been renovated enough for comfort, yet still retains its charm and character! And did I mention the food?!?!?! We were looking for peace, relaxation and the delicious meals to start our day just put icing on the cake! The innkeepers were welcoming and saw to our every need!

The River Rose Inn B&B in Elizabethtown is definitely off the beaten track but worth finding. Bruce and Sue are great innkeepers and have a wealth of knowledge about the area. They were able to provide us with places to eat and local areas to explore. You can literally sit on the porch swing and watch the barges go down...

My husband and I chose to spend our anniversary at the River Rose Inn for the view of the water and because of the nearby exploring opportunities in the Illinois Ozarks. It was our first bed and breakfast experience, and Sue and Bruce exceeded our expectations. They are gracious hosts of a beautiful historic home. Even though we went exploring...

We spent four relaxing days with hosts Sue and Bruce at the River Rose Inn. The breakfasts were delicious and original and the hospitality could not have been more satisfying. The Inn overlooks the scenic Ohio River and is near a restaurant that serves the best catfish dinners to be had. We have spent time at the Inn in years...

This was a beautiful place to stay. We were immediately welcomed by a darling lady, Sue- the owner- as she was enjoying the afternoon on the beautiful, inviting front porch. She made us feel right at home. We felt like we took a step back in time- the inn is fully stocked with hand crafted antique furniture and Victorian- esque...

Owners Bruce and Sue were most accommodating and helpful. Even after we told them we were a same-sex couple who came to Elizabethtown to be married the next day, we were warmly welcomed. All the rooms had period furniture of the 1920s which lent to the authenticity of the inn. There are five rooms, one downstairs and four upstairs. Each...
