Stayed two nights at Byron's Resort with family as we were in Otaki Beach for a wedding. Rooms were clean, tidy and fully equipped. Hosts were very accommodating and organized a late check out for us on the day. Would stay again.

This "resort" was booked for a large group attending a family wedding in the area. The Internet photos do not accurately display the two units poolside that we used accommodating 8 adults. Though tidy they are dated, we washed all dishes prior to using, felt the overall cleanliness was less than average and general maintenance is badly needed. This "resort"...

At check-in these people were very rude, complained about Otaki and the price for a motel in Otaki even before they saw the rooms they booked. It is hard to please people that have it in for your town and obviously can barley afford to stay even when the prices are very reasonable. Our units are very clean and tidy...

We stayed at Byron's over Waitangi Weekend and had an awesome weekend. The reception staff were excellent, so friendly and helpful. My children had a ball meeting lots of new friends and we met some really lovely permanent and casual campers. This is a great place for a family getaway.

We stayed over the 3rd to the 5th with 2 kids and a caravan and had a great weekend. The pool was warm and the friendly staff very helpful. The atmosphere was very relaxed and we meet some really nice families all enjoying themselves like us. At night we walked around talking to some of the permanents and it was...

It was great to see Byron's so busy over Waitangi Weekend and many families enjoying the kiwi camping experience. Had a very enjoyable stay, always a hot shower despite so many guests in the camp ground. Camp pool loads of fun for the kids. Great weather, great beach!

Myself and my family stayed here over the Xmas/new year period. Was one of the best we've had. We stayed in the motels along with friends who also came up to stay (have returned multiple years as have enjoyed it every time) which we thought were lovely. Beds were super soft and comfy and units were clean! The Kids had...

Games room wasn't open, spa and sauna are non existent, basketball area was a car park (so couldn't be used), camp kitchen doesn't have a rubbish bin. The worst part was having to use a key to unlock the toilet and shower block, every time you needed to use it. This park has so much potential, but needs a good...

The games room was available for use and the sauna was available for use, but both areas have to have parents supervising their children. The spa pool has not been available for use for the last five years due to continual vandalism. The locks on ablutions and kitchen are there to prevent outsiders using the facilities and for the security...

Quiet and laid back! Our room was big and clean and our stay was pleasant. A nice place to stay in Otaki Beach. We could hear the ocean from our room and it was so very delightful. We missed the restaurant but will try again next time.
