For the past decade, I have been a monthly Sunday lunch diner. Recently, I was served a meal which was virtually uneatable due to excessive fat and gristle. I complained to the waitress who told the chef but he did not apologise although he did leave the kitchen to get himself a pint of beer. I declined to pay full...

Stayed for 4 nights on business and it was a pleasant stay. The rooms are spotlessly clean, just like the entire hotel. The food is fabulous and the staff are extremely helpfully. This is a family run business who obviously take pride in what they do. I'm planning on returning with the wife for a weekend as the area is...

Lovely Hotel full of the best, most helpful, pleasant staff we've seen in a long time. We had a lovely big room with sea view (pity about all the stairs, but hey ho!) and the food at every meal was superb. I cannot recommend this hotel strongly enough. We already want to go back again!! Special mention for Abbie -...

The hotel is convenient for Barrow and overlooks the sea. The rooms are comfortable with every need catered for. Nice to see a proper tea pot in the room. The staff are all very courteous and friendly. Good range of beers and hearty food which doesn't scrimp on portion size!

Stayed for 2 nights. Ate in the pub friday evening, food was lovely and staff friendly. Hotel room was big only problem was the toilet didn't flush straight away it took 12 times to pull the handle but eventually did. The tap sink made a screeching sound when turned on too. Breakfast was good.

We stumbled across Clarkes as we were driving past and wanted a quick bite to eat for lunch. It was very quiet when we arrived (but it was Wednesday lunchtime...) but the lady behind the bar was very welcoming so we decided to take a look at the menu. We chose a seat by the front window (would recommend as...
