First time here, stayed over the new years eve weekend. Where to begin...we stayed in a room on the 4th floor, not a big deal but when you carry bags, snowboarding gear, a baby up four flights because there's no elevator be ready for a workout. The room was disappointing as well. The wifi sucked. The room faced the awesome hills skiers...

Kids and I stayed in pet room with our dog. The room was clean. We did not use TV as we were so busy having fun skiing. The room smelled of air freshener. Yuck! The bed was like a trampoline every time one person moved everyone bounced around. Perhaps kids like that I do not. The fast food was ok,...

In case you were wondering, I didn't die. The bunny and rookie hills are pretty easy. The next step up, which is still a green hill was pretty steep, lots of nice folks all over the place to ski around. fortunately, i didn't run over any small children this time. might go back here if i can get someone to...

For the midwest, not bad slopes but would be hard to spend much more than a day without wishing for a bit more variety. Was a great place for most of my novice family and a first time skier (daughter's boyfriend) to develop basic skills. Beautiful area and wonderful sunset over the Mississippi river!

Chose resort based on price but was disappointed. Was probably nice when first built but needs much updating. Walls were thin, heater loud and TV and Wi fi reception were poor. Drive out of town to get there was pretty but a bit daunting-especially at night.

My wife and I did the Segway tour on a weekend getaway to Galena. This was our second time on Segways and was by far our most fun. 50 bucks apiece for an hour and a half. After watching a 10 minute video and a brief but thorough check out we were on our way. The trails were lots of...

Checked in and was going to take pics of the beautiful view and was faced with lady bugs all over the Windows m post outside but many inside. They had no rooms available so my husband's and I spent the evening killing. I got to the point I left their carcasses where we killed them there were also flies in...

Love the location, the views are spectacular! Friendly and accommodating staff. No elevator which made getting all our stuff to our room 2 flights up a little challenging. Staff was able to move my in-laws to a room on the 1st floor which was very helpful. When I booked my room, I booked a suite that I thought reservations said...

We arrived with our 88 year old mother to learn that after giving us our keys to a room on the fourth floor that they had no elevators. You just assume that all hotels have elevators and if they do not, I wish I would of been advised. We originally had booked a room that slept 10 people but ended...

Rooms are large and the views are stunning! Staff is very friendly and on top of things. Plenty to do at the resort and only about 8 minutes from downtown Galena. The rooms are a little dated but they are very clean and smell fresh so who cares? Bar service was excellent and the steak nachos were great! We will...
