It was hot! We enjoyed the pool and we're thankful for the dryer. Staff was friendly and bathrooms were clean. Bathrooms were outdated but clean. My 3 year old enjoyed the baby pool and my 9 year old liked the diving board. Kids had fun mini golfing and my 15 year old went golfing at Galena golf club close by....

We stayed with Palace for 10 days while visiting family and day tours to wineries and downtown Galena. Staff was friendly. Sites are smaller, but they were able to accommodate our 42' fifth wheel with 5 slides. Had some really noisy neighbors (until 3am} one night, but staff took care of that and it was quiet the rest of our...

Stayed here over the weekend for a Sisters On The Fly outing. As a tent camper and an electric user, I found the tent site assigned to me to be lacking. You don't put a tent camper on a large hill without any level space to place a tent. All night long I kept slipping downward on my air mattress...

My husband and I have never been to a campground before. In fact we've never really camped. We came to Galena with another couple and their RV. The rates were more than reasonable, the staff was friendly, and the accommodations were very nice. They have nice bathrooms to use, a pool, and easy hook ups for the campers and RV's....

We go here at least once every summer. It's a nice, clean and quiet campground. We always use the short cut over the hill to Walmart. We get pool toys for the great pool here. It's a very relaxing time.

We are driving to Elgin to visit our son and his family. We are taking a side trip to Galena since we've never visited here. We are in our Motorhome and the Palace Campground is the only RV park located right in town. It is a beautiful site. It is early in the season, so there isn't any pressure on...

The campground is good but really needs to remodel the shower bathroom facility which gets a 2 out of 5. It is close to the action in Galena and next to a Walmart, hotel, and a Culvers restaurant. I understand it was originally built in the late 1950's and bought in the early 1990's. Just understand that the lot's were...

We visited Galena this past weekend on our way home. This the only campground near galena. We had planned to arrive on Friday for one night but changed it to Saturday for two nights. Wasn't a problem. When we got there it was very busy and we thought it wasn't going to be a good stay. We were wrong. Even...

Our family has been camping at the Palace Campground for about 15 years (we took one or two years off while pregnant) and we just love this place. While Walmart has set up camp next door and Culvers and a hotel are on the other border, you still feel peace and tranquility here - especially in the tent areas. We...

We, as well as our families and friends ALWAYS camp at the Palace campground and have for MANY, MANY Years. The family friendly atmosphere with GREAT activities is just one of the reasons why we keep coming back....from the mini-golf, hayrides, movies and the pools....fun is had by all. Location is another....the proximity to downtown Galena and Dubuque is awesome.
