I stayed while working nearby and am so happy to have found this establishment. The guest house was lovingly restored with many surprises. I was comfortable and rested well. Breakfast was good. A short walk through the neighborhood showed us some homes that are well loved. However, not far away there are signs of recession. I felt safe and walked...

August 12, 2016: Nita Kloska, the owner and innkeeper of The Riverview Guest House B & B was a fantastic hostess. The accommodations and hospitality were unmatched. My wife and I stayed in The Library Room on the first floor. We had our own bathroom and a semi-private entrance to our suite.Nita is extremely friendly and gracious. Nita made a...

Nita, the proprietress, has created a very homey B&B near the Kankakee River. We were in town for a class reunion and found this little hideout to be the perfect place to relax between activities, as well as a comfortable bed, and delicious breakfast. There are a variety of rooms and most had their own bathrooms. Nita is such a...

My husband and I and our teenaged granddaughter stayed at the Riverview Guest House for two nights in October on our way to Michigan. We wanted to expose our granddaughter, born and raised in Florida, to a typical Midwest autumn. Our hostess, Nita, could not have been more welcoming, and helped us locate the sincerest pumpkin patch in the area....

I do not usually write a second review of a bed and breakfast, but I feel that it is warranted in this case. I visit family in Kankakee periodically and stay at Nita's very special B&B. This last visit was wonderful. Nita makes you feel as if you are part of her family. Her home is always very clean and...

The Riverview Guest House is in a great location, just around the corner from the Bradley House, built by Frank Lloyd Wright (open for visitors and worth seeing). The house is beautifully furnished. Our room was very nice and clean. Breakfast was exceptionally good! I'd definitely recommend staying there!

We arrived the night before the Strawberry Festival to find our hostess, Nita, and her friends busily dipping strawberries into chocolate sauce for the festivities. Upon her recommendation we did stop by the festival, looked at the crafts and enjoyed the music. The other activity Nita suggested was looking at barn quilts. If you don't know what a barn quilt...

Nita really has a very lovely guest house. We stayed in the same room as last year on the first floor. Bed too soft but a beautiful room; the place is very, very clean. Nice washroom right outside the room door. Good amount of privacy too. TV room right next door. The breakfast was perfect. Nice selection of items. The...

I just spent a week at the Riverview Bed and breakfast. It truly was one of the best b&b experiences that I have had. It was as if I was in my own home. Nita opened up the entiire house to include the use of her washer and dryer. There was a small room upstairs that contained a small refrigerator...

We spent the night here while in business in the area. The B&B itself is very pretty with absolutely beautiful gardens. The inside of the house is gorgeous with lots of antiques. Our room was very comfortable with a great bed, private bath and access to both a sleep porch and deck area. The hostess is a very nice and...
