Five of us went on the children's glacier walk in beautiful sunshine It was a fantastic experience and one which my children (aged 9, 11 and 13) say they will never forget Brilliant day and fantastic memories Would definitely recommend this experience to all

You have private rooms here but shared baths - more like a higher end hostel. It looks like they are trying to upgrade things over time - it is now referred to as the Nigardsbreen Lodge. There is a gorgeous view of the glacier out back. The staff was great.

We stayed there for one night after a guided glacier tour. We were welcomed by a very friendly hostess and shown a good while somewhat basic room with view on the glacier and the very clean bathrooms down the hall. We had dinner at the place. We both had an exquisite home made beef stew and some locally brewed beers.... More

A perfect location fo visit the glacier, and actually you can see the Glacier from the garden and from some of the rooms. Although bathrooms are shared (a consequence of the age of the building) they are pristine clean and quiet. The staff is beyond helpfull, the food exquisite and each dinner is a carefully crafted fusion of local and... More

There are not many adjectives to classify the location of this beautiful hotel... Quiet and cosy, the Nigardsbreen Gjesteheim offers one of the most outstanding natural views I ever experienced. I was fortunate enough to get a room facing the magnificent glacier view straight from my bed. The tiny room and shared bathroom makes no difference. Although not cheap it... More

This is one of the loveliest places I've ever stayed. The people who run it are unbelievably friendly...and fabulous cooks besides. Every day they spend hours in the kitchen concocting a gourmet three-course dinner for those guests who choose to eat in. Breakfast, which was included in the hotel fee, was also excellent and included house-made granola (and many other... More

A lovely place and garden with a view direct to the glacier. The house was renovated to what it looks like in the earlier days - very nice done. It was a quiet place, where you realy could relax. The hospitality and food was excellent. Its a place where you realy want to come back, and we will - no... More

This guesthouse is a real gem. It is well located close to the Nigardsbreen glacier and the visitor center. It is very convenient to go to the glacier in the early evening when all visitors are gone and then come back to the guesthouse for a delicious dinner. Rooms are small but tastefully decorated and most of them, if not... More

We had booked a night here but our plans were changed by weather. They were very accommodating and helpful. The food was the best we ate in Norway. The common rooms downstairs were very charming and the bedrooms had nice big blankets. Even though you can drive to the door, it feels like a true mountain lodge.

Jenny and Giuseppe are the thoughtful and attentive hosts of this small 19th century mountain lodge situated at the foot of Nigardsbreen. It is a stone's throw from the glacier museum, a striking moment in its own right and ten minutes from the start of your glacier adventures. We travelled as a family of five and enjoyed the family "Blue... More
