A lovely pub with restaurant whose staff make you feel welcome the minute you walk in the door. Great selection of Beers and Sunday lunch is plentiful and reasonably priced - better to book as they get busy. The bar menu during the week is good value with offers on - nothing better than eating beside a real fire.

Second time we have stayed here. Very dog friendly. Can't remember the room number, but it had a double bed, single bed and a settee. B+B rate very reasonable. Room was very clean and spacious. Ensuite shower and toilet. Couldn't fault anything. Had an evening meal and two breakfasts. All to a good standard, and very good value. They do...

Called here for Sunday lunch with family whilst in the area, and was very surprised to see how busy it was considering it's location. When we saw the quality of the carvery it made choosing from the menu a simple matter! After a selection of starters were served by a friendly member of staff, we had a really good selection...

Lovely old pub with a fantastuc home cooked food! I had fillet steak and my husband had the steak and ale pie, both come much recommended! We also had a two year old with us, they don't have a children's menu as such but do make smaller portions of the main menu if requested

It is in a nice area, from the outside, it looks a normal pub, but from the inside I was really plesantly surprised. The room was more than adaqute and the staff were really helpful, it was a good price as...

Stayed two nights with another couple, check in process was quick and friendly. We were on the second floor which was a bit tight for space compared with the first floor, sloping ceiling and tiny bathroom but well equipped. Had a great evening meal on the first night, local ingredients well cooked at reasonable prices. The pub and restaurant were...

Stopped here after going away with the wife for the night. Didn't look much from the outside to be honest, however we were surprised when we went in. A very pleasant atmosphere. We asked for a table and shown straight through and seated. We were given a menu and time to look at what we wanted. We had three courses,...

We stopped off at this place for an evening meal whilst staying in the area. We were lucky enough to catch the early bird special deal for our meals however, whilst waiting in a short queue to be seated, some locals pushed in who were seen to first. The barmaid knew we were waiting patiently but allowed this to happen....
